With more than 700 members, the association is dedicated to enhancing the overall quality of life and economic vitality of the Schaumburg Area. The SBA advocates for the business community and provides world-class signature events and programs, specialized networking and educational opportunities, and legislative relations for its members. www.SchaumburgBusiness.com The statements in this position profile are intended to represent the key duties and level of work being performed; they are not intended to be ALL responsibilities or qualifications of the position.</p> <p>The Membership Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing the Schaumburg Business Association&rsquo;s membership through retention and new member acquisitions. The successful candidate will report directly to the President and work collaboratively with staff and volunteers. This position must maintain a high sense of professionalism and will exercise a high degree of initiative, leadership, and confidentiality. The Membership Manager provides the following services to the SBA in a key professional staff position:</p> Full-Time Chamber of Commerce Chamber of Commerce <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION</p> <p>In charge of the management and fulfillment of new membership sales and existing member retention targets, which includes outreach strategies to prospective, new and current members to expand our membership base.</p> <p>Review and gain understanding of all current members and develop plan to enhance membership activity to increase retention, making connections, as needed</p> <p>Successfully close new member sales and follow through with the on-boarding process</p> <p>Proactively connect with existing businesses in Schaumburg to understand and respond to their needs.</p> <p>Inspire and guide volunteer leaders including networking groups, committee chairs and ambassadors, attending meetings as needed.</p> <p>Responsible for handling prospective and member inquiries and concerns quickly and effectively.</p> <p>Attend SBA and non-SBA events to engage with members and secure potential new members.</p> <p>Encourage growing member participation in the SBA&rsquo;s programs and events that generate nondues revenue.</p> <p>Play a key role in building strong rapport with members, community organizations, and other business support organizations. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to:</p> <p>Promote sponsorship sales, provide leadership and support for all events, including all Signature Events (i.e. Savour, Golf Classic, Ladies Fashion Showcase, Toast of Schaumburg)</p> <p>Run the New Member Orientations (every other month)</p> <p>Work closely with Office Manager on member renewal goals and follow ups.</p> <p>Support cross functional team goals</p> <p>Represent the SBA in a professional demeanor with enthusiasm and political astuteness.</p> <p>Foster creativity and innovation in current programming and member benefits to be a leading business association/chamber in the state.</p> 0001-01-01
