      Better Business Bureau:

Thank you for your assistance. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and am accepting their proposal in part as it relates to the storage charge of $8/cwt per month only. Based on my communication with Mackie's Sales Consultant yesterday, she will also inquire with their Sales Manager if it would be possible to keep the Storage Valuation at the original estimated amount of $35,195 per ******** estimate to keep the monthly cost unchanged, as the value of goods has not changed regardless of higher weight.
If I could please receive the final answer pertaining to the Storage Valuation charge, that would be greatly appreciated.

      Sincerely,

******* ****** were used in calculating those actual storage charges, I received a response advising that they used $9/cwt + storage valuation which, according to my calculations, became $1/cwt. Hence, actual rate charged was $10/cwt vs the above noted $7/cwt plus $2 per $1,000 value per month. When I disputed this rate, I was asked to provide an estimate supporting $7.00/cwt, which I did not have. I was only given an all-inclusive monthly amount with the Excel file showing Mackie's posted rate. My subsequent email to that Sales Consultants including the last phone call from Sep 22, 2023 were not answered. I believe Mackie Moving did not properly communicate their storage rate to me and increased it while our goods were already in their storage. I would like Mackie to honor their posted rate sent to me on Jul 24/23 ($7/cwt x 81.8 = $572.60/mth) vs $9/cwt or $736.20/mth, for the entire storage duration; 1 month will remain free as promised. Or offer a further discount on a long distance move next year

Mackie Moving consultant has been in contact with customer to discuss her concerns. The rates tab mistakenly attached to the client's estimate were old rates however, the written storage estimate provided to the customer was based on $9/cwt/mo. for storage. The actual weight came in slightly higher than estimated (within 10% of estimated weight), which resulted in an increase in storage charges over original estimate. In the interest of customer goodwill, Mackie has offered to reduce the storage rate to $8/cwt/month and the client has agreed to this adjustment. Mackie will adjust the monthly storage rate and issue a credit for the difference on any months already billed at $9/cwt/mo.
