      I went to move my RRSP and non rrsp savings from Sunlife to my main banker. Well, Sunlife limits the amount you can withdraw at any given day and charges you $25 for the privilege. To withdraw my own money. First time it was a larger amount but second time it was restricted at a smaller amount about 45% of the original. Again a $25 charge. Never ever again will I invest money with this company. If I could give them a negative 5 star I rating I would. My advice, make auto payments at your bank to your rrsp or savings, DO NOT use these insurance companies for ANY savings.

      We have been paying for insurance in good faith and without fail for years. **** **** ** ******************* ******* **** ** *** ****** ***** **** ******** *** ** **** *** *** ********* ************* ** ***** *** ** ********** ** **** ****** ***t he now requires a wheelchair and walker. They are expensive. Sun Life refuses the claim while stating (on their internet claims portal) for more than a month and to this date "We will provide you with additional information shortly". I called. After waiting on hold for a careless length of time I was finally told why they are not paying. We, **** ******** ** ********* ** ***** ********** could not get a doctor and have been very pleased for having been assigned a nurse practitioner. *** ** ** ************* *** *** **** ********** *** ********** ***** **** *************** Sun Life won't pay unless the form is signed by a doctor. The surgeons who performed the surgeries are all now practicing out of province. This occurred while Sun Life was promising "additional information shortly". ** ***** ******* ** ** **** **** ****** *** ********* ****** **** **********  ** ******* ** **** **** ***** *********** ******** ****** ********* ** *** ******* ****** *********** *** *********** ***** ** ** ********** **** ******* *** ** *** ****** *** *** ************ I have no intention of treating such corporate tactics (taking advantage of clients already suffering from difficult circumstances) as an acceptable business model. ****** ** * ******* ** ********** ****** *** * ********* ********* ************ * **** ** ******** * *** ** **** ** **** ***.
      Anyone whose present or potential front-line healthcare provider is a nurse practitioner should consider their insurance options very carefully. *** ***** ** ****** ** **** **** **** *** ***** ********** *******

      ** * ***** **** **** * ***** * ****** The customer service is horrendous. They have zero empathy, understanding or human conscience. Everyone I spoke to had no idea how to look up any kind of information and repeated themselves repeatedly. Infuriating company to deal with.

      I hate the fact I gave these people money out of my paycheck. Now that I need help to get a claim started for just three months they can't help me, despite the fact I paid for this 2 years, been given the run around **** ********* * ****** **** ****** ******* then after providing everything needed from my end, they needed more time ******* *** ***** * ****** ******* ** *******

      Reached out to sunlife to speak to an advisor after scouring their website to find a phone number. I never did find it on their site. Found the number on ****** and called 3 times and spoke to 3 different advisors. None of which could help me to remove my daughter from our plan. It’s creating issues with my wife’s plan and because of that, submitting a claim is a nightmare. I should also add that 2 out of the 3 advisors **** **** *** spent most of the time talking over me.
      The cherry on top was the survey that came at the end of the conversation. I submitted a very low score after the first two calls I made to them and when I was done, a recording came on saying sorry but the survey is not available. The interesting thing is that after the 3rd call I submitted a better review to see if the survey would give me the same message and the system accepted it with no issues. Hmmmmmm

      This SunLife Company is the worst we’ve ever experienced for handling investment funds. We’ve been attempting for 2 weeks now to contact someone to get our RESP funds released for family member to attend college. Local SunLife office doesn’t know who our current representative is (they keep changing), District manager does not call as requested, and they will not give us name or information for whom we can contact directly on this. SL Mutual Fund Department is not helpful at all either. Our student beneficiary person is getting discouraged with this struggle to get funds, and his future career is at risk due to this ************** uncaring attitude of SunLife staff.

      I was recently diagnosed with double vision and because I had my lens changed last year, I was advised that I did not qualify for any compensation.This was an foreseen condition that required immediate attention. I was informed that because I had my lens checked last year that I do not qualify for any compensation.This was an unexpected condition that needed immediate attention because my driving could cause serious consequences to me ,my family, and others. I fully understand their conditions,however,they do not have to compensate this year or next making them free of charge for 2 years. ** * ******** ******** I find that I am faithfully paying to this company and they apparently do not consider these unforeseen situations

      My wife and I have attempted to have Sunlife simply send us a letter confirming that our son is covered on my plan This is needed to opt out of the plan his school is trying to force upon us. 3 weeks, 6 calls, multiple promises, NO LETTER, NO ANSWERS. Customer service is impotent and does not care at all. **** ***** ********* ******* *** ***** *********** ******** * ******* ** *******
