2 starsI was charged $1,700 for a toilet installation by John the Plumber. After learning the same toilet retails for under $500, I requested a breakdown of the invoice to better understand the costs. I was told they use flat-rate pricing and that no breakdown would be provided. I followed up twice for a response to say I didnt feel that was right and never received a response.While I understand flat-rate pricing, the refusal to offer even a general explanation of costs (materials, labor, disposal, etc.) felt unreasonable and lacked transparency. The work was completed, but I will not be using this company again and advise others to ask detailed questions upfront before approving any work.Review fromBettina M

5 starsI was looking for a plumber online when I came across the company "John The Plumber". All the reviews were about how friendly and efficient they were. I decided to try them as well as good customer service is one key point by which I measure service providers. And I do not regret at all. **** came to our place and from the first call letting us know his *** to the last handshake, I give a 10/10. Great service. I greatly recommend.Review fromDennis A

2 starsThe technician was really nice, but $700 for 30 minutes of work and a max $80 part is too much. I could have canceled and gotten it for half, but I would have had to pay $80 to cancel and wait for the other guys to come. Quick response time though - next day service.

Hello. Thank you for your response. Not to speculate, but your response seems pre-formatted to avoid further comment. Particularly as I already emailed that address on 6 August 25 with more or less the same comments plus some additional details and received no response. It seems that you are more interested in retaining your BBB rating than in customer service and, on that basis, I would revise my assessment downwards if given the option.Review fromSophie H

5 starsWe had a drainage problem in our kitchen and after no success with draino and a plunger, called John The Plumber late in the day. We were very pleased to be scheduled for a visit the following morning. ********* gave us a 30 minute heads-up that he was coming and on arrival quickly identified and resolved our problem. I was especially impressed with his willingness to discuss preventative maintenance as well as some advice on a repair I intended to perform on my own. Very pleased all around.
