    After giving our 50% deposit to Oneway *********************************** back in December 2024, they made the required arrangement to get an engineer report done and apply to the city of ****** for a building permit. However, back on March 19, 2025, prior to the city of ****** providing them with that building permit, they have stopped all correspondences: emails not working anymore and texts and phone calls are not answered. It is like they just vanished!

    In March 2024, I reached out to Oneway Construction < ***********************************> for a quote to remove a pony (half) wall. ******, the owner, responded quickly and provided a quote based on the assumption that the wall was load-bearing. We signed a $12,000 contract and paid 50% upfront, which included the cost of a structural engineer to confirm if the wall was load-bearing. The engineer confirmed our suspicion that the wall did not carry a load. Consequently, we requested a change to the contract since half of the scope of work was no longer needed. Oneway Construction reduced the quote by $1,300.After requesting a detailed account of the charges, we were met with silence. They stopped responding to emails, phone calls, and text messages. Despite repeated attempts to obtain a refund of my deposit (minus the cost of the engineer), all my requests have gone unanswered. Our last correspondence from Oneway Construction was in June 2024, stating that theyd get back to us as soon as possible.

    Hired this company in June 2023, wanted to remove some interior walls and do some structural work deposit was required upon signing $13K. Work was to get started in ************ lied to the city of ******* about total project cost citing $12K then delayed permit approval as they did not want to pay the fees. The company started Sep 21, 2023, showing up to the work site screaming at us to provide them another $13K. We requested some clarification as to what would be covered in actual costs because every day they showed up with a new change order saying it was above and beyond the very vague contract and thus, requesting more funds be advanced immediately to them with no information or cost breakdown, this carried on for 7 change orders and around ***** of additional funds being given to them for them to not do the work. After being in our house for three weeks they realized that the floor joists ran counter to the original scope of work so they brought back their engineer and decided it would be 10K additional to carry on with the project no guarantee. Having only installed ************** in the basement, and still not providing a detailed breakdown of what was included in the quote. We agreed they would continue with the original scope of work and remove the walls leaving the temporary shoring up until we could get the breakdown. The next day, the contractor arrived and decided that he wouldn't do that and proceeded to lose his temper on me in front of my family and told me that I must have mental illness, he said if we did not sign the change order and transfer the money immediately they would walk off the job. They walked off the job and we have had to hire another company and engineer in order to finish the work totaling $24K and 8 week delay. The work they completed included installing a steel beam, post and a stair beam in our basement. We are unsure as to what we are owed because the company would not provide a cost breakdown but we want others to be warned.

    Hi there,

    I am a Stucco contractor and I done some work for One Way Construction company ****** ****** ****) this summer. I never received any dollar from him. Doesn't answer the phone or messages. I am self employed work alone and I need to feed my family. I have 4 month old son and my wife doesn't work. Any help from you will be very appreciated. He own me a $3000.
