Parked at *** lot on July 15, 2025 around 10 am. The parking meter was difficult to use. It wanted me to insert my credit card before I knew what the cost of parking was. The screen was hard to read because of the sun's reflection and the buttons did not work correctly. I wanted to get a receipt to make sure I got the time correct, but no receipt was printed when I pressed the button for receipt and the parking meter reset itself. I got the time wrong by less than 10 minutes and got a ticket. * **** **** **** *** *** ********** ** *** ******* ******* *** ****** ****** ******** ** **** ***** **** ******* ******* ** ********* *******. It should be clear what the payment amount is before I insert the credit card and a receipt should always be printed. I tried disputing the parking fine, but they said the parking expired at 01:52pm. I thought I saw 14 on the meter screen before it reset itself and thought I had until 2 pm. It wasn't until I saw my credit card statement that I realized that the 14 was the cost of the parking.

On July 24, 2025, I parked in ******* *** **** * *** ****** **** ******* - in order to attend the ******* **** ********. The time was approximately 5:00 and I paid $8.40 to park my car, license plate *** ****. I entered my license plate number into the payment terminal and pushed the button to request a receipt but no receipt was produced. At 11:00 p.m, I returned to my vehicle to find a parking ticket on my windshield. Invoice *******. Because the printer was not working, I did not have proof outside of contacting my credit card company, which I did. I sent an appeal along with the credit card screen shot showing payment of $8.40. The response from Precise Parklink was that I paid the $8.40 AFTER I received the parking ticket, which is not true. Their response said that the decision was final and that I am now required to pay $77.75 for the parking ticket. This is poor business practice as: 1) they did not provide proof that I paid after the ticket was issued (this would be impossible because I did NOT do that), 2) their printer was not working so I have no idea if I put in the incorrect license plate number, paid for the wrong duration, or what happened and have NO proof that I paid according to them, and 3) their response said their decision was final although I could probably ask my credit card company to tell me exactly what time I paid the $8.40 for evening parking in order to prove that I paid.

      Summary of Incident:
Dec. 31, 2025-I briefly parked at the ********** ******* to purchase drinks and pick up an item from *******. * **** ******** ***** ** ******** ******* **** **** ****** ** ******* ** ****** I was unaware of any requirement to register my license plate to validate free parking, and I did not see any signage indicating this. No physical ticket was issued at the time of the incident.
      From Nov2024 to July2025, I lived and worked in downtown Calgary, using my business address for mail forwarding. * **** ******** ***** ** **** ********** *** ** ***** ********* **** ** ********* ** ********* ********. During this period, I frequently parked at ********** without registering my plate and never received a ticket.
Upon returning to my residence in Tuscany in August 2025, I found a final notice from **** regarding the ticket. I contacted **** on August 4, and was redirected to Parklink. I requested photo evidence, which helped me recall the incident.
      Grounds for Complaint:
Failure to Issue a Physical Ticket: I was not notified at the time of the incident, which denied me the opportunity to dispute the ticket within the required 7-day window 1.
Lack of Clear Signage: No visible instructions were provided regarding license plate registration for free parking.
Inconsiderate Dispute Process: Parklink’s dispute policy requires submission within 7 days 1, yet no accommodation was made for delayed notification due to personal circumstances.
Unjust Business Practice: The handling of this matter disregards personal circumstances and fails to uphold fair consumer treatment, which may be considered deceptive under Canadian consumer protection laws 2.
      Request for Resolution:
I urge the Better Business Bureau and relevant consumer protection agencies to investigate Parklink’s practices for potential violations of fair business conduct.

Precise ParkLink has refused to let me dispute two tickets unless I first pay an unrelated past one. This practice seems unfair and potentially unlawful.

The two tickets were received within 12 hours of eachother for parking in visitor parking of my own condo unit less then 24 hours of giving birth to our newborn. I have proof that I registered for parking. I want to report them because I have now acquired 3 tickets and each of them is when I didn’t “email confirmation” to myself. I believe they use this opening to give people tickets hoping they won’t have proof to dispute. I however took a screen shot with my phone and have the confirmation number and everything to show that I did register it.

I am filing this complaint regarding Invoice #******* from Precise ParkLink.

I received a $325 parking fine for “tailgating,” but I am a registered user of that parking lot. I have a valid parking space and a key fob to access the garage. I did not enter illegally.

The fine was issued unfairly. I contacted the company to explain the situation, but they refused to consider my case and said the decision was final.

I felt pressured to pay the fine to avoid further issues or being sent to collections, but I do not believe the charge was justified.

I am requesting a review of this situation and a refund, or at least acknowledgment that the penalty was excessive and improper.

I am filing a formal complaint against Precise Park Link regarding an unfair parking ticket issued to my elderly aunt and mother during a deeply distressing family emergency.

While visiting Alberta to see a terminally ill relative, they parked at one of Precise Park Link’s locations and paid for parking via ****. Despite payment, they did not receive a receipt from the parking machine. Instead, they were issued a parking ticket.

I have contacted Precise Park Link Appeals multiple times, providing proof of payment on every occasion. However, their team refuses to void the ticket without a receipt—something their system never provided. It is unreasonable to expect customers to produce a receipt that was never issued.

The company’s handling of this situation has been lacking in basic empathy and understanding, causing needless stress to an already grieving family. Their refusal to acknowledge the proof of payment and rigid insistence on an impossible demand is unacceptable.

I ask the BBB to assist in resolving this matter and hold Precise Park Link accountable for their poor customer service and unfair treatment.

Thank you for your attention to this urgent issue.

Subject: Unfair Late Fee Charged on Parking Violation Invoice #*******

      Details:
On February 3, 2025, I parked briefly at 3085 Glen Erin Drive, Mississauga, Ontario, to submit documents to ******* ******. I attempted to pay for parking at two different machines, but neither accepted my ********** credit card, which I confirmed worked elsewhere that same day.

A parking enforcement officer approached me while I was still trying to pay. I explained the situation, and he took back the ticket he had issued. He then directed me to try another pay station. This made me believe the issue had been resolved, and I was not given any further notice or physical ticket.

Weeks later, I unexpectedly received a notice that a fine had been issued and had now increased from $75 to $175 due to non-payment. Since the original notice was taken back and I had no access to it, I had no opportunity to pay the initial $75. I felt misled and unfairly penalized.

While I understand parking rules must be enforced, the enforcement in this case was misleading and created a situation where I was denied a fair chance to resolve the issue. I ultimately paid the $175 to avoid further penalty, but I believe the additional $100 late fee is unjust.

I respectfully request a refund of the $100 late fee, or a partial refund of the total $175 paid. I also hope the company reviews its enforcement procedures to ensure fairness and transparency for others in similar situations.

?? Summary of Request / Resolution Sought

Refund the $100 late fee (unfairly added due to officer’s misleading behavior)
Improve enforcement process clarity to prevent similar confusion

      1. On February 25th I paid $21.25 at this company's 78 Holy Street parking lot location to attend a 2-hour business with ****** at their head office.
      2. I expensed my parking ticket through a digital app which helped me maintain proof of purchase.
      3. At the end of May I received notice from Precise Parklink that I was being fined $175 for failing to provide proof of parking purchase.
      4. I responded to them and provided the attached photo of my parking purchase which was made during the exact time of the infraction they documented and claimed I made.
      5. Despite having a clear proof of purchase, they completed their own investigation and provided the attached poor quality photos of my vehicle that did nothing to verify if my parking ticket was properly displayed on dashboard. If it was, it was on the front passenger side of my dashboard because I put my laptop on the front passenger floor when I travel. If I don't pay the outrageous fine, they will send me to collections, even though I have provided proof that I paid for the parking. I am going to pay their fine and seek a refund so that they don't ruin my credit with this.

I believe this is a violation of their merchant service and most completely unfair/unreasonable billing and business practices. They are exercising no common sense to recognize my proof of purchase and they are using very weak evidence to claim that I did not display my parking ticket properly. This is an abuse of their power and completely unfair. The cost of the fine is also completely outrageous and disproportionate for the infraction they claim I made.

I parked in one of the companies lots on April 15th, 2025 at 196 York Street. I purchased the appropriate ticket which I provided as proof of payment. The ticket fell from my dash was not displayed. I was issued a ticket because it was not displayed. I sent in a dispute but was told that it was not sufficient and was still required to pay. If I paid within seven days it was 25% less. This is even though I provided the proof that I paid.

I spent hours trying to reach someone to discuss and no one answered there customer service line. When I did get someone I was simply told that I just didn't like there process and would have to pay. I emailed the CEO many times and received no response, even though there is a form on their website.

Note account number below may be off as it's hard to read the ticket. However, they did find it when I reached out to them.

I think this company is targeting people. Particularly, when individuals can provide proof it should eliminate the tickets. The dispute process is not fair or thorough.

I received a private parking invoice (#*******) from Precise ParkLink on June 17, 2025 at 6:29 PM in Calgary.

However, I had paid $14.40 for two hours for parking well before that time. I provided a screenshot showing that payment was completed at [e.g. 5:25 PM], over one hour before the ticket was issued.

Despite this, my dispute was denied, and I was told that the payment was "received after" the ticket was issued. The company is ignoring the actual time of payment and blaming a system delay for the reason to uphold the charge.

This is unacceptable and feels deceptive. I respectfully request this invoice be cancelled and my payment acknowledged as valid. I am submitting this complaint to bring attention to their unfair practices.
