On Tuesday August 15, 2023, I noticed that the blower motor in my furnace stopped working. I knew that I still had warranty on parts for the furnace but I didn't want to go with the original installer if I didn't have to so I called Boonstra Heating and Air Conditioning. When someone answered the phone at Boonstra, after I asked how they were doing, I immediately told them that I believe the blower motor is shot and is still under warranty but they were not the company that installed the furnace. So then I asked if they would still be able to do the warranty work on it? The person, I can't remember their name, said yes and that that wouldn't be a problem. I stressed again that if that was the case and they could do the work under warranty then I would like to go ahead and make an appointment as soon as possible. We agreed on an appointment for about 5 or 6pm that very day. I specifically asked if they could do the warranty work first off because I know all the HVAC companies charge a diagnostic fee just for showing up so I knew I would have to pay that but only was willing to pay it once to the company that performed the full job. - Their technician arrived, a little late but not terribly, and then took a look at my furnace. He was there for about 10 minutes before confirming that it was indeed the blower motor that needed to be replaced and would find out how much it would cost. At that point, I told him that it is still covered under warranty. He then told me that they didn't install the furnace so they wouldn't do warranty work on it. I then told him that the the person I made the appointment with said that they could do the warranty work on it. He said they wouldn't normally do that if they didn't install it but he would run it by their parts guy and I would be contacted the next day if it was possible or not. I paid the fee and the next day I got a call and was told they couldn't do the warranty work so I wasted almost $200. I have more but ran out of

I signed on with Boonstra to get a tankless hot water heater, The sales person at the time, Sean, let us know in order to get any rebates, we would need to get an energy audit done. he connected us with a energy auditor also named Sean who conducted the audit for $600.00, which we were told would be fully refunded by the government on the application for the energy rebate. This all occurred in April 2022. In May 2022 my hot water tank was installed. it took months for me to have Sean, the energy consultant respond to inquiry's about what happened with my application. he eventually returned to do the proof part of the audit, 6 months after he had audited my home. to this date i do not have any communication with Boonstra, or Sean about how to get my rebates. * ** **** ***** **** **** ** we are approaching a year since this started.

I spent almost $4,000 in repairs in 2022 due to Boonstra Technicians discovering different issues each time they came on site. ****** *** *** **** ******** ******** ***** ***** ***** If they had initially discovered the issues on their first visit, I would have purchased a new furnace at the time instead of going ahead with the repairs. After all the repairs were completed, I purchased Boonstras monthly repair plan to assist with any future repair needs. Fast forward to exactly a year later I had Boonstra visit the house again to provide cleaning and maintenance services. When the Technician was there, he advised that every single part that was replaced last year needed to be replaced again, including the heat exchange. * *** ********* ** **** **** ** all of these parts were just one year old. The technician advised that the warranty would not apply as the parts were installed exactly 1 year and 1 day ago. I was one day past the warranty date. Technician was very quick to suggest that I replace the furnace this time around. I asked to speak to a manager instead ******* * ******* ** *** *** **** ** * *********** *** *** *** ***** ***** ** ** ****** *****. The manager never called me back after multiple requests, however, a salesperson by the name of Adam B. contacted me immediately. He advised that he has been approved to give me a $3k discount since I spent almost 4K the previous year. He told me that they usually sell their high performance furnace for $9,000 and he was prepared to sell me this for $6,000. The 3K discount was a *** as I had received a quote a few months back from another Boonstra Agent by the name of Mike A. for the same price. **** ********* *** ***** ** *** ******* ** ****** ** ******* **** ** *** ****** ** * ***** ********* * ****** ****** ** ***** **** ********* **** ** ******** *** ****** ****** ** *** * **** ********** ******** *** *** ********** **** **** ******* ** **** ***** ** ** ** **** * *** *****

June 15, 2021 I had a new air conditioner and mideffiency furnace installed for $12,312.48 by Boonstra HEating and Air Conditioning. At the time, the Salesman told me my current furnace was about 14 years old and was a basic low effeciency furnace on it's way out and should be replaced. The installation was done so poorly I called to complain, after repeated visits to my home, the furnace and A?C were finally installed properly. I have continued to have ongoing problems and repeat technicians out to for repair issues. I noticed my energy bills were higher than before the new mid effeciency furnace was installed. I asked each technician why this was as the Saleman had assured me my energy bills would be lower. I found the original home owners documents showing the furnace was a high efficency furnace and was in fact less than 10 years old- *** ******** ******** ***** ******** *** * ****** *** ****** ** ** ***** ** **** ***** **** ** *** ******* ***  I have a been a Boonstra customer since the 1990's and have never had issues prior to this. I have been attempting to resolve this complaint with Boonstra by phone and email since May 2022 and have not heard back from them.

I called this company to come install a *********** thermostat because they are listed as pros on the website. The guy arrived and from the start didn't seem to know what he was doing. It's a 3 stage fan and he told me you could only connect one. He proceeded to connect the low stage fan to ******** and ********** putting the faceplate on. I readjusted it while he went to his truck to write the invoice. He then left. I noticed throughout the night the temperature was hot and was blowing lightly out the air con vents. This is when I ******* ******** thermostat. I found out you can connect 3 stage fan to it using the y1 y2 and * inputs. He had only connected y1 to the low fan speed. He installed it completely incorrectly. It's a bit embarrassing when I have to redo it and I make it work properly when the professional can't. I just want my money back as it was a waste of my time and money. I have called twice and left 2 voicemails and also sent an online message all of which were ignored
