I was provided with a quotation of $4100 after a camera inspection to replace one section of my sewer (we had a flood in the basement). Upon opening up the hole in our yard, the plumber then said that his "new" camera inspection indicated we would need to replace the whole pipe at a total cost of $17000 taxes in. With a hole in our yard, the guys onsite, and me in the middle of trying to teach a class, I felt compelled to finish the job even though the cost was exorbitant. We were provided with a written invoice (not a quotation) of $16426 including tax which we signed before work commenced. A day after the work was done, the plumber came to collect the cash as it was due immediately and said there was a mistake on our total and it was now $18498 as he forgot to add taxes. My wife **** ***** ****** ** **** ***** *** ** *** **** ********** **** *** decided to just pay him and was asked to sign a new work order. I never would have agreed to this, but I couldn't be there to assist. I contacted the company and they just said it was an error and gave no valid explanation for why our verbal quotation of $17 000 (taxes in) wasn't honoured. **** ******* ********* **** ********* ** ** ** ***** **** ** *** *** ** they demanded non-refundable cash deposits immediately upon diagnosing a problem ** **** ** ******** *** ***** *******

Dec 29, 2022, I contacted this company about a clogged drain. Was charged $2,500 to clear it. Crew spilled significant amount of sewage in the process. **** ** **** ***** ** * **** ****** and left, never mentioned the spill and didn’t clean it up. A few days later the smell was even more unbearable to the point no one could be in the kitchen. Called them back and they came back to check it out, took responsibility for the spill and purportedly “cleaned it”, ********** the cabinetry in the process. In the days in between the spilled sewage had evidently soaked into flooring, cabinetry, under dishwasher, etc. I spoke to them again a week after their “cleaning” and noted the kitchen was still uninhabitable because of the smell. They sent someone back, who told
me “I spoke with the owner, he says you have to file an insurance claim”. They promised to have someone come to clean and then ghosted me, not returning emails, etc. A month later, no one can bear to cook or eat in the kitchen and I am facing ********* of dollars in repairs to fix the cabinetry.
