1 starWe worked with Aire One Kitchener Waterloo to fix an issue we had with our boiler in the Winter of 2025. They came out and installed a new part but the part was defective and the boiler once again become inoperable again. They came out again to check on it and they never let us know what the real issue was. We ended up without heat for 2 weeks. They would not call us back about the status of any replacement part or any other suggestions on how the boiler would be repaired. We called numerous times and they had no answer.
They left us hanging for 2 weeks. I even had the name of the manager **** and she never called back or emailed back. **** ******* *** ** ******** ******* ********** ** ********* ********* We ended up being without heat for 2 weeks when temperatures were less than 1 degree and they didn't have the decency to contact us. 1 star********* ********* hired Aire One Kitchener to inspect my water heater, as it failed recently, and as part of a 'Mandatory Gas System General Inspection' in our area.
Although we have rented gas water heaters for the past decade in this house - we now had to upgrade to an electric water heater.
The electrician supplied by Aire One recommended I upgrade to a 200 amp panel, as my 100 amp panel didn't have enough breaker space. I was quoted on the phone, ** * **** ***** ****, that the 200 Amp upgrade would be close to $4000 because the city would need to work on the line that connects to the street. It turned out that I couldn't run a 200 amp panel, so we went with what was explained as a less expensive option; a 125 amp panel. I approved this option verbally - as I was without power or hot water, and this should be less expensive. When the work was completed all the scrap wiring and old pieces were left on the floor or ground outside... too many holes were drilled in our ceilings and walls.
I received a bill for a total of $4900 +!
I've called and emailed asking for a breakdown of parts and labour, but they refuse to send me anything with appropriate detail. ** ***** *** Aire One's electrical apprentice *****, *** goofed around on his phone the entire time, ** ******* ** ****.
I can't recommend using Air One Kitchener for any service. * **** ******* **** * **** **** *** ****** ** * **** ******* ********* ********* *** **** ****Aire One Heating & Cooling KW

The details mentioned do not appear to align with your file. Prior to moving forward with the upgrade, you agreed to the quoted price, and it was clearly communicated that we would need to proceed with a 125 amp upgrade, which you approved.
Additionally, during the follow-up call, you confirmed that you were satisfied with the installation. Please note that all of our calls are recorded, and at no point was a lower price quoted — the price we provided remained consistent throughout the process.
If you have any further concerns or would like to discuss this in more detail, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always here to help and appreciate your business — we truly value our customersReview fromSonja P

1 starI had an E2 error code on my furnace and it was running intermittently. I contacted Aire One to confirm the pressure valve was stuck and needed replacing as the E2 error code indicates. After doing a number of tests the technician confirmed the pressure switch needed replacing. He used his tablet and confirmed the part was $1000.00-$1500.00 for an OEM part the only kind they would use. My furnace is under 10 years old but he insisted that in our climate this was the life expected. He advised in writing that the high costs to repair this furnace would be best put towards a new furnace and that he could have his sales manager come by that day to quote the options.
I was not desperate like most people would be with a broken furnace in winter as I was able to get it running by resetting it. I agreed to see their sales person 2 days later giving me time to investigate the matter. I was able to buy the exact OEM part delivered to my house exchange, duty and freight for under $200.00 Canadian.
They were obviously inflating the price of the part to push me into a new furnace costing thousands of dollars. I called to speak to a manager when I canceled the sales appointment but he was not available and did not return my call. They only tried to call me after ** * **** ****** ** *******Review fromDenis R

2 starsCustomers beware of the half price furnace tune-up and inspection. If you have an older unit >15 years old the technician will try to find the minutest hairline crack in your exchanger to invoke their code practice of shutting done your heater. They claim it is their duty to inform the customer first and shutdown immediately even if it is -20 C outside. * ******** ** **** ***** ******* *** I understand that if there is a serious crack with the potential to release CO into the air flow then I agree shutting down is the best course of action but when you have a <3 mm hairline crack adjacent to one of the bolts then this is not considered immmediately serious. **** ** *** **** ** **** *** **** ********* **** ***** ******* *** **** * **** ********** ********* That is to alert the customer of a potential problem and advise that the issue needs to be addressed in the next week or so. The ***** tactics of shutting off the gas and "locking out the heater" is over the top *** * ** **** **** ********** *** ******** This locking out position is followed by the offer of an immediate replacement with a sales person standing by to provide a quote. In my view this is unsavoury practice *** * ******* **** * ***** ***** ***** **** ** ****** **** *** *** **** ****** **** ***** ********** **** ***** *** **** * ****** ** ***** ********* *** ******Review fromMathew G

5 starsAire One upgraded my furnace and AC unit. They did such a great job I had them come back for some electrical work including a pot light installation project. Lori T helped set me up with the right system and kept each project in budget. The installation teams were efficient, clean and courteous while in my home. I highly recommend the Aire One team if you’re in need of home comfort, plumbing or electrical needs.Aire One Heating & Cooling KW

1 starAire One makes no effort to contact customers. My credit card expired, and I forgot to call them and give them the new card info, that's entirely on me. Aire One didn't call me, or email me, or even send a letter to indicate I was in arrears. Instead, I got a surprise notice from a collections agency, a lien on my house, and a bunch of tacked-on fees. Aire One claimed they'd called me "several times", but my phone sits on my desk beside me all day, and there were no messages left. Again, they had my phone number, email address, and home address. No contact, straight to collections. Rather than keep me as a customer, they demanded I pay out my account, plus late fees, plus fees for the collection agency, plus an early termination fee. ****** ****** **** * ******** *** *** **** ** ****** **** ********* **** ********Review fromDevon G

1 star** *** *** **** **** I went with Aire One because I had a furnace and air conditioning unit installed by them 12 years ago. Big mistake!
They booked me in for an appointment between 7:00am-1:00pm, and never showed. When I called to follow up, they said the technician was delayed and would arrive by 3:00. At 2:55 a technician arrived. He advised me that it would cost as much to fix the unit as it would to replace it, and he offered to call me a sales consultant. The sales consultant came the same day. He really wanted me to buy a heat pump, even though my furnace works just fine, and he could give me no actual data or evidence that heat pumps save money on heating/cooling the home. He told me that if I bought the heat pump (which was 3 times the price of the air conditioning unit), then they could install it on Friday, but if I went with the less expensive option, then they couldn't come until the Tuesday. I felt sick about this. * ** * ****** ******* * **** ** ** **** ******* **** ** *****. I thought it was so dirty that they would try to take advantage of me this way. It has been a heat wave. We wanted the unit in as soon as possible. He said the earliest they could do was the Tuesday morning. I asked him what time on Tuesday morning, and he said I would receive a text with that information. I received the text on the Monday. It said that the technician would arrive between 12:00-2:00. NOT A MORNING APPOINTMENT AT ALL. By 2:00 no one had shown. I called to inquire, and was told that the technician was just finishing his last call, and would arrive within half an hour. At 3:45 I received a call that the technician was still at his last call and wouldn't be coming today at all. I said that was unacceptable, and they needed to send someone today. They said they would. At 6:00 the technician called and said he would come tomorrow morning first thing. This company must think that none of us work. They have zero consideration for people's time.Review fromPatricia P

1 starMy husband and I were very disappointed with the service of this company. Our AC was malfunctioning in August. They said it was a leak in the system, and would cost over $1000 to repair. So, we looked at the prices to replace.... long story summarized, it took them 4 days to finish a job that should have taken 1 day to do, and I am so frustrated that my husband and I had to take that many days off to take care of this problem. I learned 2 things: Always get a second opinion and always look up the company on BBB site! ***** ***** ***** *******Aire One Heating & Cooling KW
