The dealership/garage sold me a car and the engine light came on about 15 minutes after driving it off the lot. I believe they reset the code so I wouldn’t know . I have had to have the car towed 3 times to the garage now because it keeps breaking down . The dealership ignores my calls, emails and text. They told me they would provide me a loaner car but refuses . I purchased the car for work purposes and I have lost countless hours/days due to the fact that I don’t have a vehicle . I think it was a very untrustworthy sale because the car had problems that they didn’t disclose and now I’m losing money because of it

      Hi There,

Sorry to hear you are having issues with teh car. As discussed there is no history with any engine light. You had it towed once for a no start, and we replaced the spark plugs at no charge. Second issue you blew a hose and kept driving the car while it was overheating causing damage to the headgasket, Myself and the warranty ( which WE paid for)  are covering more than half the cost for you. Which after months of you having the car is MORE than fair.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: this is a typical response that I would expect from them, been dealing with this since I got the car. They were well aware of the engine light issue and the issues with the car, I have multiple text and emails confirming that. I bought the car to be able to work but I have only had about 3-4 weeks of usage since I got the car 3 months ago . I was promised a loaner car if repairs were going to take a long time , this is the 3 rd tow besides the times I drove it there, it’s now been 5 weeks waiting on an engine replacement. The last time I borrowed my husbands truck and drove to the dealership, Louis told me , ***** ******* ** ** , that the engine light had nothing to do with the engine . * ***** **** ******* ** *** *** ****** *** ***** *** ** . I have text saying the car was repaired, coolant leak fixed also , now he’s trying to say it’s because I drove it . **** ** ******* * **** *** * ****** *** **** **** *** ** ** *

      Sincerely,

      ****** *****

On July 17th, 2023, I bought a used vehicle from Right Choice Auto Sales on 129 Charing Cross St in Brantford, Ontario for $9668.87 cash. This vehicle and others at the business were advertised as "Safety Certified with a 2 year warranty" I was also told that the vehicle I was buying had a rebuilt transmission. I did not agree or sign for an "as is" vehicle, It was sold with the safety completed. On July 28th, 2023, the Vehicle stopped accelerating on the highway. Upon putting it on the tow truck, I realized that the exhaust of the vehicle was completely rusted/rotted apart (****** **** *). The vehicle was towed back to the dealership in Brantford with the agreement that they would repair the exhaust and find out why it was not accelerating. Upon my arrival to pick the car up on August 1st, 2023, I was told they had repaired the exhaust and that there was a code for the transmission that was under warranty at another repair shop. I brought the car to ****** ************ in Brantford. While at ****** ************ the mechanics found no codes or transmission issues. They instead found that the intake boot had been duct taped together, and took a photo of the exhaust repair for me (*****). I was also told by the owner of ****** ************ in Brantford that the transmission was NOT under warranty. I got the intake boot repaired at ****** ************ for $138.13. When confronted, the owner of Right Choice Auto Sales in Brantford (*****) stated that it had passed safety so they did not bother looking into it further. He then continued to tell me that I had bought a used car and "it could last me 2 days or 2 years". The business did offer to do the repair, but I refused as I no longer trusted them to repair it properly. The car still does not accelerate, and I am not able to drive it. This was my first car and I am extremely disappointed.

Sorry for your troubles. But the tranmission is covered as it was rebuilt. I have spoken to ** ************ who did the rebuild at he statted, HE WILL FIX IT. We have this in writing. As I said, the boot had nothing to do with it.

Also as for the exhaust, as we told you, the tow truck driver broke the exhaust when he lifted teh car, he told us this, we fixed it. NO CHARGE to you.

Please contact us right away and we will assist in getting teh issue sorted. I spoke withteh *********** shop yesterday, and he insisted he will fix it and no charge. We paid 3800 to have it REBUILT, NOT repaired.
