Took a new ruby ring into get sized. Picked it up and the ruby is destroyed and now worthless. Went in to try to resolve this and he was screaming and at one point said I should get a gun and shoot . Said I was trying to commit fraud and he was going to take me to court and have his lawyer after me. He stated that it was my fault because I did not inform him it was a treated stone. I pointed out that I had no idea what that meant when resizing and it is his job to know or about this as 95 percent of Ruby's are treated. The then told to get out of his store.yesterday when I picked up the ring he told me the ring and diamonds were worth 2000.00 so I asked that he pay me what I paid for the ring which was 1588.00 and he could have the ring because it is now worthless to me . He could put anew stone in and sell to recoup his cost. I do have a statement from the large auction house I purchased it from that says any reputable jeweller would know not to put a touch to a treated ruby. Since this was purchased at auction the ring is worth a lot more then what I paid for it
