      I ordered a book for $87 dollars. The tracking states that the item was delivered but it has not been delivered. REFUND MY MONEY! There is no customer support! WHERE IS MY MONEY!? REFUND ME MY MONEY NOW!!

      I ordered a book from them but it never arrived. Apparently UPS delivered it to the wrong address. My post office sent me a letter admitting it was their fault and said the AbeBooks need to send me a replacement since I haven’t received it and they need to file a complaint with UPS since they did 100$ insurance.
      I kept sending them emails and they kept saying that on the tracking number it’s saying delivered so they did their part. This is completely a lie since me, the customer haven’t received it and I can not file a complaint since I am not the sender, just they can do it.
      Their customer service is really bad. They don’t know the laws and communicating with them was so frustrating. I hope someone will sue them.

      I placed an order and it was sent to the wrong address. I sat on hold with USPS forever to get this info. When I contacted AbeBooks.com I was told that I must have been sent the wrong tracking but when I would ask for the correct one the only response was it could take 14 days until delivery. The package had already said delivered to an address that was not the one provided days prior.

      I am an avid researcher. In the past decade I have ordered hundreds of rare books from Amazon, eBay, Biblio, World of Books, Thrift and of course Abebooks.com.
      I usually only use Abebooks if the book has the best price for quality desired or can only be found under their listing. This is because they, unlike the others except Amazon, are not set up for PayPal.
      Now I have run into a new problem. I placed an order with S N Books World in India for the first time, for three books. They sent me one number for tracking information. Two months later, I received book one. Two to three weeks later, I received book two. I waited for book three which never came.
      I didn't ask for a refund, but I tried to contact the seller three times without success to let them know I didn't get the book and that I was not able to track the problem. Now it's too late for a refund.
      When I attempt to contact Abebooks to explain the situation with my diligent effort I can't find the way.
      I am convinced that Abe has a rogue book seller who needs adjustment and improvement. However, Abe has shut their ears and door. Unlike all the above book dealers who manage their book dealers. Therefore, I will be ultra cautious before using Abebooks again, and never S N Books World in India.
      In the hundreds of books I have ordered from above services, I never had an unresolved problem until now with Abebooks.

      I placed an order for a book with Save with Sam, a dealer in Miami. Shortly after they asked for an added sum for shipping via Abebooks website, that I agreed to. I then received this formula generated email from the dealer, twice: "Hi,
      I am very sorry for the problem. Due to everything that is going on in
      the world, there may be a delay in receiving this. I am very sorry for
      this inconvenience. If you do not wish to wait and prefer to purchase
      the item with another seller, please let me know by directly responding
      to this email and I will issue a refund right away. Otherwise, this
      order will remain open but the order may be delayed.
      Thanks for your understanding!
      Samantha."  This is suspect and concerning. I have asked via Abebooks for a refund, but the dealer never should have had access to my email to contact me directly. I will not be using Abebooks again.

      Abebooks is an amateur website with no oversight and incompetent staff. I was shipped a $200 book via the cheapest possible method, resulting in the book being thrown on the ground in front of my house and lost/stolen. Abebooks made no effort to use signature-on-delivery. When I contacted them, the representative was indignant and uncooperative.

      I have been buying books from Abebooks for years and have only had two negative experiences which Abebooks made right. I cannot speak highly enough about the quality I get for such low prices. When I place an order, I accept that it may take a while to get to me. I would not purchase a book that I needed in a hurry. That being said, I will continue to buy books from them and recommend them to my friends.

      I had bad experiences with two orders from this website and never recommend it.



      1. I didn't receive the order and when I contacted the seller, they said it was delivered and refunded my money. I don't know what the issue was, and the refund wasn't a fair solution as I waited over 21 days.



      2. I ordered the same item (ordered previously) and received an alert two days ago saying the address was insufficient and the post office agent was unable to deliver the package. I checked my address in the order and it was complete. Now the seller is lying and claiming that the "receiver refused to receive the package" and refund was issued.


      The situation now is completely unacceptable as I used a gift card to make the purchase and now I am unable to use it.
      I provided a solution to the seller. The solution is to provide a new address for my item to be shipped but no one listened.

      Extremely slow shipping, and inconsistent quality in the books when they finally show up. I found that it was not worth the possible savings to use Abebooks. They're definitely on my naughty list due to their inconsistency and poor delivery service.
