They also promised that all money paid would be refunded after one year and that I would receive an additional loan.What the nature of the dispute is:Despite paying $666.9 over the course of the agreement, I was only refunded $24.16. This is significantly different from what was promised. Additionally, the contract provided by Spring Financial was presented as a mere formality for audit purposes, which contradicts the assurances given by their financial advisor, Mr. ******** He explicitly stated in our conversation that all funds would be refunded after one year and that I would receive an additional loan.Whether or not the business has tried to resolve the problem:Spring Financial has not adequately resolved the problem. I was conned into an account with ******************** after they led me to believe that I would get a loan right away. I paid into it until I realized they were conning me. I asked them to cancel. I stopped paying. It took them 16 months to cancel as I kept insisting that I DID NOT want this account. They ended up sending me an extremely small portion back, not as expected. I did not realize at the time that they registered me as delinquent with the ************* for all the months I was suppose to be canceled. I did not know this until recent. This is severely affecting my credit score and there is no way of getting in touch with them. Phone number has been cancelled. I am now left with a bad credit rating from a company that promises to "fix" your credit rating. They lied. They are scammers. They use brutal tactics and direct lies to get you to sign up. I need them to retract the "delinquencies" off my credit report.Business Response

I applied for a loan from spring financial, in doing so, I inputted my bank details for verification of income. They declined the loan, yet proceed to say I signed up for their foundation program. The same hour in realized they took money from my account of about ************************************************************************************* but they only said they would refund ten dollars, which I'm still actually waiting for. I told them it must be an error and all they did was close my foundation account and said they would refund 10 dollars of the 75 or whatever it was. I don't believe them and think they are a scam company. I'm not the first person complaining about it as I've read other people having that same issue. Please helpBusiness Response

I had our ***************** team to review all points of contact, eg; emails, phone calls, text messages and live chat transcripts, on several contact information that we have on file, to address your concerns accordingly. We have also tried contacting you multiple times but it seems like every call we have had were disconnected from your end.
On May 28th, 2024, you were declined for the personal loan you initially applied for. It directed you to apply for ************** online if you were interested, having to choose from: Foundation basic, basic plus, gold or gold plus. Please note, you would need to confirm and click three different buttons to confirm what you are applying for and it seems to be that you confirmed everything and finished up your application. This is the only way we can activate an account under your name. ************** is a credit building product which we report your payments back to the credit bureaus to help you establish a good credit history and is an optional product that you can request to cancel at any point.
You have requested to cancel your account on June 7th, 2024 by speaking to one of our ****** care agents over the phone. You were advised that it will take 5 business days from your last payment to fully close your account. This way, any payment/s that is pending can be fully processed first before closure. Your account has been closed since June 14th, 2024. However, in this matter, we cannot be able to offer you any refund as for you were only scheduled for 1 payment and missed that payment. Therefore, we did not at all receive anything from your end hence why there will be no funds to return. We will email you a confirmation for both: closure confirmation and payment history showing the missed payment and this will be sent to the email we have on file. Your account will be reported as closed-paid off positively under your credit file. Please note that it takes ***** days for the credit bureau to update that on their end.

Applied for loan online. Was declined via text message. Then started receiving a deluge of texts asking me to provide further info for loan approval. Then they said I was approved for a credit building product called the foundation and sent a contract to sign digitally.. however they set the payment date to a time before I even received my cheque so I ended up accruing nsf fees. Cancellations are handled over the phone and we have tried reaching out at least 3 times but we are unable to connect with you.

I am rejecting this response because:none of the content in the response from Spring was ever conveyed to me. The second last email I received from *** told me I was approved for up to $15,000 cash. It was only when I asked about the terms of this I was provided the copy and paste response regarding provincial legislation changed. I want my credit restored and their check removed within 30 days and no later. I have spoken to legal counsel regarding this and I am within my rights and with grounds to pursue fraudulent charges if necessary

I am rejecting this response because:they are fraudulent in their advertising and every single aspect of their communication. I have since located other issues through social media that people have experienced with Spring Financial. All of my contact with them was either in written form or I recorded the phone calls so I have confirmation of all the misleading information and their access to my personal information which was manipulated and I find it difficult to accept how any legislation or policy enforcement can allow these people to keep operating like this. I believe they need to be investigated and how many people they have negatively impacted.

At the beginning of 2024 I started with a foundation loan to build my credit so I could buy a car. I found out that I can never get a loan from them because I don't have a cell phone. They told me at the time I started that I could cancel anytime and get my money back. They are saying now I can only get $27.00 refund, that the rest has gone to the business.In the 5 payment I made, my credit score has not gone up one point.They are trying to claim my resent score to them, but is my adding a joint account with my son in our bank that cause my credit score to go up 124 within the hour I added the bank account. On January 3rd, 2024, you have applied for a personal loan and immediately got declined by our website and had directed you if you were interested for the Foundation instead. The Foundation is a credit building product in which your payments are being reported to the credit bureaus in order to help you establish a good credit history. The Foundation is an optional product that you can cancel at any point as well.
You were asked to choose from either paying for the Foundation gold or Foundation basic. The difference from the Foundation gold is you are going to be paying the full amount that goes to two portions; one for fees and interest to build your credit and second goes to your savings with us that you can request to any time or you can get back as a refund after your term, or after cancelling your account with us. The Foundation basic on the other hand is paying the lowered amount that goes directly to fees and interest on building your credit and not saving up. In this case, you have opted in for the Foundation basic.
Unfortunately, we cannot be able to provide you a full refund of your payments as for we have been providing you a service to build your credit and we have been reporting your payments back to the credit bureaus in order to help you build your credit. You have requested to cancel your account on June 16th, 2024 and the agent you spoke to over the phone has compliantly closed out your account. This has been reported to the credit bureaus positively as closed-paid off and there will be no further payment coming out of your bank account. Your credit file will be updated within ***** days by the credit bureaus. You were sent a refund of $27.69 as that was the amount being saved up after fees under your file. Thank you for your response. Please note that once you have fully confirmed three different buttons, you will then be fully signed up for the Foundation. As for our due diligence, shortly after signing up, you were to receive an email confirmation with your contract. The email confirmation was successfully sent to the email we have on file. A text message was also sent the same day congratulating you with your new product with us. In this case that we have fully received your application from your end, we have offered you a service to help you build your credit. Credit score does not build up overnight. You would need to make consistent and positive payments not only with the Foundation, but with your other tradelines as well (eg: credit cards, loans, mortgages, etc) in order for your score to increase accordingly. For those 4-5 months that you were with us, your credit score has gone up to 135 points, hence why unfortunately, we cannot be able to provide a full refund as for service to build your credit was compliantly provided to you.

Back in April, I was referred to Spring Financial by Loans Canada or Borrow well, I cannot remember which one with the interest rate from 9.99 10% or something.Due to an issue, I couldnt qualify for Spring, which I think is a joke, and was pressured into this Foundation program, which I didnt want and tried to get out of ever since, but of course, a call came in and was talked into keeping for *** and I missed a call recently but they dont call back to follow up . I accidentally signed up for the Foundation credit building product. Once I realized; I contacted them immediately to have it canceled. They said that it was canceled and I'd get an confirmation email. I have yet to recieve that email and I am very concerned that they will not respect my request and still proceed to retrieve money from my account. I am very frustrated and disappointed about how predatory this company seems to be. We know that there are many needs for cash up front; however, most of our customers cannot qualify for an unsecured personal loan, and if they do, it is often at very high interest rates. This leaves quick cash loans as the only option for many of our customers. While ************** cannot give you money up front, you are guaranteed to get our Evergreen Loan as soon as youve completed 12 months of ************** and saved $750. This is a completely optional product which you have made no commitments on.

I am not requesting any loans with Spring Financial, nor I want any business with them. By lying and promising things they cannot fulfill so clients end up using their trap is not okay. I never requested any loans. They called me to offer it saying it was pre-approved. I asked if my credit was going to be checked and they said NO. When they confirmed they did. Even if it a "soft credit" I don't need their help. I am already rebuilding my credit. They lied and offered something they did know they were going to decline so I could agree to the ripoff program they have which does not help in any way possible to fix credits. That is my issue with them. If they would have called and right away offer their ripoff program they know most people will say NO.
