The company replaced our HVAC system. We needed a city inspection of the new system. The inspector came and said they were not up to code. The company has been contacted multiple times and have not returned to bring the system up to code.

The owner of Wiehler, ****, assured me the system he would size would work with the upper floor furnace in our house. After months of the unit freezing up, rattling like a jackhammer and destroying the compressor, hacking up my basement furnace ducting to try and get more airflow, the unit was moved to the main floor furnace which I did not want. The system was drastically oversized for the first furnace based on the airflow specs of the furnace. It would have NEVER worked on that furnace and a system that large should never have been used (found this out talking to a 40 year commercial HVAC tech who looked over all the specs). When moved over, it worked for a while, then slowly wouldn't cool. I noticed the unit would cycle on/off/on/off every few seconds repeatedly. We shut it all down (again) and called it in. In the meantime, the competent 40 year tech walked me through multimeter checks of the high and low pressure valve sensors. I found the low pressure sensor was getting tripped. This of course indicates a low charge/leak. When they came out, and the tech verified that, they should have IMMEDIATELY done a leak test on what was easily accessible on the outside of the building. It could have been a simple item like a ******** valve.. However, he instead hooked up his gauges which released a blast of refrigerant making any leak test impossible for a long while. This again verified a low charge. Instead of booking a leak test to see what was leaking and replace it, he tried to get me to pay for the repair by offering a leak stop fluid. I declined because A) I shouldn't pay for their leak, I've already compromised WAY to much on this install which was suppose to be for the second floor, and B) this fluid reacts with air. If it didn't work, then my money would be wasted, and opening up the system would expose the lines to air, and cause this stuff to gell/coagulate and make a real mess inside. I declined, and after that the company has been non-responsive.

October 2nd. They were called for a leakage of water. This is in a new unit Wiehler did the install. It is just over a year old and no one had used the bathtub because the previous rental tenant only had 2 people in the home. It was determined to be a poor seal at the tub drain by a Wiehler repair person. It was resealed and fixed. My argument is that this should not have happened for a new tub. It was just a 3 months past a year. They need to back their workmanship. The repair person had to reseal the other bathtub in the home as well. I should not have to pay for that leak repair. The other drains in the 8 unit row house need to be checked for workmanship quality as well.We already had in the neighbouring unit a different leak from poor soldering, causing ceiling damage which we did not pass the cost on to Wiehler, but should have. I have called, email and texted the company and owner. He texted back Oct 11th saying happy to discuss. I replied the same day and no word since. I have contacted the company and they said they would call back but do not. Poor workmanship and poor follow up.
