      We had to renew our 2 year contract with shaw, now ******. We went to a ****** store in the mall and were told that our equipment needed to be upgraded. We also had to pick new channel packages. To get the channels you want, you have to pick multiple packages with a bunch of other garbage channels that we will never watch. This inflates the total cost. We paid our ransom and took all the equipment home to set it up. I know my way around with networks. If you can't setup your networks, you will probably have to make an appointment with a technician. All the new equipment relies on wifi to connect your TV receiver box to the modem/router. Our old modem was always in the basement and the old TV receivers were connected to cable. No problems at all with that setup. With the new modem in the basement, the TV receiver did not work in the living room. The wifi didn't make it through the walls. When we were at the ****** store, I asked about using a wifi extender and was told, you can't use your own extender. You would need to use ****** extender pods that plug into wall outlets. Those pods are $10 a month to rent. I added my own wifi extender (D-Link brand) on the main floor and managed to get it all working. This was a lot of time wasted trying to get everything configured. In the end, it all worked. And then the disconnects started, or the frequent maintenance, or the updates. ****** didn't tell us that we can schedule updates. Found that out later. We have had the new equipment for just over a week. Today, Saturday, was spent trying to figure out why everything was shutting down. No wifi to our phones, the TVs would not get a signal and the internet was not working. More wasted time on this garbage setup. Our neighbour could not watch her hockey game, her ****** was down all afternoon as well. After 7 hours and trying to get things working 5 times over, it looks like the cable is back. If there were other options, I would return all the equipment. And *****, just no!

      I have been a **** customer for 30 years. Since the ****** takeover, it has been aweful. I have never seen such poor customer service from a company, ever. I'm currently on hold 1:11:19 and counting. No hope of even reaching someone at this point. Let alone, trying to get my bill adjusted to what it's supposed to be. They overcharged me of course. Why am I not surprised. Had a problem last month that took two phone calls and far too much of my time to get fixed. Channels just disappeared. There are issues constantly with it, last week set top box not responding, another hour on the phone with them. Yesterday cable in and out. ABSOLUTE WORST

      No stars. Since the merger it has been absolutely terrible. I used to be able to live stream sports and now they want more money to watch. When my contract is up for the new receivers (no digital display) I'm out. I will not recommend to anyone.

      Switch from **** to ******. Cable boxes are garbage, streaming is garbage, wifi router has no range and the pods don't help. Paying for 1.5 gas, might get 210 on a good day, don't care about customers or any quality of service, make sure you get what you pay for

      Incompetence on behalf of Shaw. I am a Sportsnet plus subscriber in the bc region....i can log into sportsnet plus on my phone, pc and firestick and watch canuck games using my subscription. I cannot access this region using my shaw stream box. Stream box is NOT recognizing my region. Previous agents said it was because Shaw had the Canuck game blacked out...NOT TRUE! Contacted Sportsnet plus to confirm it was available to me. Sportsnet plus stated that it was part of my package thus the reason i could log in on all other devices....shaw stream box is not recognizing my region. Spent hours with various tech agents trying to fix but no fix has been successful. Asked to speak to manager but "noone was available." Hoping to get out of my contract as Shaw has not met their end of the bargain. One star as it is the lowest available...would give a zero if i could

      Their service has changed since they merged with *******. I have been a shaw customer for years and was satisfied with the service they offered. In the last two months the internet service that I am paying for has become spotty. At times it's less than 5mbps download speed (15 feet from the modem) when I'm paying for 300 mbps. They are trying to tell me that a wall, that is there all the time, is causing interference. I'm sorry shaw but the laws of physics don't change because you say so. The interference would be there all the time if that was the case. You are either refusing to or can't supply the service that people are paying for. First chance I get you are not going to be my service provider. I will not be part of their bottom line anymore.

      It was at least better than ***** before ****** took over. Now it has a choppy connection, crappy customer service, and they blatantly lie on their promotional ads to trick you into contracts. Never thought I'd go back to ***** but even ***** looks good compared to "****".

      Was forced to renew with the new ******/**** merger and now have less channels for more money. **************** is non existent. Waited 2 hours for someone to answer phone call and 2 hours for someone to answer chat.

      Recent upgraded to internet 500 with the new wireless modem and box..since then my HD looks more like 720p rather than ****..my tv is a **** ****** 65xbr930D 4K. Had the tech provide the gen 2 modem..lan conection to.the box with hdmi to the TV..I think that the move from coax to wireless was a move backwards..HD channels were ******* clear before with no juddering. Essentially there is nothing that can be done..I dont even believe the incoming signal is ****p and they have no way of proving it is other than just saying it..regret having my coax and old Aris box removed..feel like we pay big money for whatever they shove at us without any recourse..i wonder if anyone else is finding the same thing...why waste money.on a fancy oled TV when the incoming signal is not much more than 720..shame on **** and the so called upgrade to wireless..its a sham..the jury is still out as to whether the internet is any different from 250 to 500..many drops and lags ..get it in gear ****
