    Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to formally file a complaint against On-Side Restoration ******* regarding their billing practices. Specifically, I believe I have been subjected to fake billing and overcharging, which I find highly concerning and misleading.Details of the Complaint:Inflated Charges: I have identified charges that appear to be inflated beyond industry standards. Unapproved Services and Items: In reviewing the invoices, I noticed charges for services and materials that were not previously agreed upon or authorized. I have reason to believe that these items were added to the bill without merit and possibly with the intent of inflating the total amount owed.Attempts to Resolve: I have reached out to On-Side Restoration, requesting clarity to validate these charges. Unfortunately, I have not received satisfactory responses or documentation to justify the additional costs.This experience has not only caused undue financial strain but has also eroded my trust in On-Side Restoration ******* as a professional service provider.     Dear ****,

    Thank you for your prompt response regarding my complaint against On-Side Restoration Services **** (Complaint ID *********. I appreciate the opportunity to provide additional clarification.

    1. Services and Materials Charged but Not Provided:
    Upon reviewing the invoices, I identified charges for specific services and materials that were either not provided. Some examples include:

    a. Inflated Work Hours for Water Extraction and Remediation Technician:
    The invoice reflects significantly higher hours than what seems reasonable for the water extraction and remediation work completed. Based on my observation and consultation with other professionals, the time billed appears excessive for the scope and nature of the emergency work performed. This discrepancy suggests that the actual hours worked may have been over-reported.

    b. Excessive Use of Equipment Beyond Requirements:
    The billing includes charges for an unusually high number of specialized machines and equipment, such as dehumidifiers and air movers, which were more than necessary given the extent of the water damage. From my understanding and according to standard industry practices, fewer units would have been sufficient for this situation. This excessive equipment deployment has resulted in inflated costs that I believe are not justified for the work that was required.

    These charges seem unjustified based on the work completed and appear to inflate the final bill.

    2. Price Concerns and Next Steps with Service Alberta:
    While I understand that the BBB does not regulate prices, I am concerned that the pricing practices employed may reflect deceptive billing. I will contact Service Alberta as you suggested to inquire about my rights under the Consumer Protection Act and determine if this case warrants further review.
