I had my two kids registered in a fall gymnastic program with the Flip Factory. It was supposed to start in September 2023 and run weekly until December 2023. They had issues with their building and had to close un-expectedly and cancelled the programs. I didn't receive any information form them about cancelling the programs until the day before the program was supposed to start. The assured me a full refund would be provided once they got their insurance payout. I paid a total of $935.55 for registration for 2 classes. I believed this promise and did not pursue anything further. I got an update Late 2023 that said insurance was taking a long time and they would have the money for refunds by no latter than June 2024. I emailed them in July 2024 to ask about this refund again and now they are not even responding to e-mails. I believe they should refund the cost of the courses since I paid for them and they were not offered.Initial Complaint

In the summer of 2023, I signed my child up for a summer session at flip factory for gymnastics classes. The total was a little over $400. A week before my daughter's class was supposed to begin, I was sent an email stating they were having issues with their roof, and that all of their equipment was damaged and that a refund would be issued. I quickly needed to find another camp for my daughter and incurred another expense. Following this, a mass email was sent out (attached), providing more information about what occured, excuses, and a promise to reimburse all families who have given money. The owner assured us that she would keep us informed. Since then, I have called numerous times and have emailed at least 6 times. While I received one or two emails over a year ago that put all the blame on other issues and provided empty promises of re-payment, there has been no repayment. Due to the promises provided of repayment, I held off on making a complaint as in the emails sent the owner also described her situation and her interest in restarting a business once everyone was paid back. The last email from the owner was in November of 2023 and I have since sent 4 emails where no response was received. I am at a loss for the rights of customers in these situations.Initial Complaint

In summer 2023 I was advised that the Flip Factory would have to close due to an issue with their building. Communications from the owner, ******* *******, indicated that refunds would be provided. I was understanding at the time and waited patiently. However, now it has been well over a year and communications are not being answered. I have sent multiple emails, telephoned, and reached out over ******** messenger. I am owed $404.25 for a summer camp I paid for. I've uploaded a screenshot from my ****** account showing this. I had a credit for $136.50 on my account and paid the remainder on March 25, 2023.Initial Complaint

On June 1, ******************************** the fall program for circus aerials, paying $485.10 at time of registration. Invoice no. ******** On August 10, 2023 I received a letter from ******* ******* (owner) to inform us that the flip factory would be cancelling classes due to damage from a renovation. She stated that she would be issuing refunds as soon as possible but would potentially need to wait for insurance to do so. I received another letter on sept 8th stating the same thing. And an email on November 7, 2023 stating The process moves very slowly, and Ive been told that resolution may be as late as June 2024.I have not received any correspondence since then, email inquiries go without response, and I am still owed $485.10 for the class that my daughter never received.I was told to be patient, and I tried to wait it out, but the lack of information over the last 10 months and radio silence to any inquiries make me think that there is no plans to refund the money for the cost of the class. Last Spring 2023 my daughter was enrolled in an 8 week session at the Flip Factory. 4 weeks in she broke her arm and could no longer go to the remaining 4 gymnastic sessions. The Flip Factory was able to put a credit on my account for the remaining 4 sessions ($130) as she would be back in the fall. She was also signed up for the summer camp in July 2023. Right before the summer camp the place had some issues with their roof and had to close for repairs. They did take them to the zoo on the Monday and ************** on the Tuesday for her week of camp but couldn't accommodate any more days so had to find other arrangements for the remaining 3 days. The first update was Nov 2, 2023 and said the issues were bigger then originally thought and could possibly take up to June of 2024 for a resolution. I called and emailed on March 27, 2024, May 9, 2024, June 21, 2024 and July 24, 2024 with no answer or reply. They owe me money back and no one is communicating and not sure what else to do. There is $130 from the spring session and the summer camp was $388. Understand she didn't ask for it but the lack of communication and no refunds is really disappointing. $500 is a lot of money to be out. I enrolled my daughter in a gymnastics class for the fall of 2023. I paid upfront $429. Two days before it was to start in September 2023 I received an e-mail stating the business was shut down due to issues with the landlord doing work on the roof and shards of metal falling onto the equipment. They were working with their insurance company to reimburse those of us who have paid and were hoping to be re-opened by the new year. As of January 2024 they quit responding to any voicemails, e-mails and ******** messages. I have heard nothing further. the invoice is under my partners name, but it was my credit card used.Initial Complaint

A year ago, I signed my child up for a season at flip factory for gymnastics classes. Totalling a little over 400$. The payment went through and everything seemed ok.A month before classes were supposed to begin, a mass email was sent out stating they were having issues with their roof, and that all of their equipment was damaged. They then filled us all in on the unprofessionalism of another business, and said they were waiting to reimburse all families who have given money, and that they would keep everyone in the loop as to what was happening.Since then, I have called twice and left a message, emailed no less than 4 times, and sent messages through an online chat of theirs, and have been ignored each and everytime. It would not **** me off so much, if they just kept us in the loop of what's happening. There are people leaving comments on their ******** page, as they have also expedienced the same things happening to them. This is completely unprofessional and rude.Initial Complaint

We booked our kids for a gymnastics program, they had a renovation incident and had to close the gym. The business said refunds were going out but we have not been able to contact the business after trying every way we could think of. Booked a birthday party for October 2023. Business was closed in July 2023 for problem with roof. Was promised refund. Initially had an email chain but I have not heard anything since January.
