I went to the hospital concerned about a serious infection in my hands that could be making me sick. When I first arrived I told them I felt extremely dehydrated. I was brought in, put in a chair, and left there for about 2 hours. No one checked on me, no one gave me IV fluids or even a glass of water, and I felt barely coherent. I got up to go to the bathroom and told the nurse I wanted to leave and revoke my consent to treatment. I was told I had to go back to my chair and wait for the *** I told her I didnt want to and she said I had to wait because they cant discharge me until the ** comes in and I cant leave. I was basically told I was not allowed to revoke my consent to treatment and was held against my will. I called to complain to the hospital and insisted I was not paying the bill because they didnt do anything and all the ** said was that since I had a positive covid test that was probably the only thing wrong with me and to wear a mask there was nothing else they could do. No offer of fluids, never looked at the serious infection in my hands, no offer of medication, nothing. No point to that conversation and no point to my bill that I tried leaving to avoid. Now I have a $1500 collections on my credit for it from ability recovery services. This is unlawful and could be considered forcible confinement, or unlawful detainment as I was held against my will. I demand that this be removed from my credit.Business Response

Complaint: 22749346
I am rejecting this response because:
The itemized bill they provided does no match the dates that they have listed on my credit report. They are claiming the debt is newer than it is in order to have more impact and make it stay on my report longer which is highly illegal. Accounts with inaccurate information on a report must be removed and the documentation provided does not prove the supposed original debt to begin with.
This information needs to be removed from my report immediately. My medical information is protected by *****. And **** requires accurate credit reporting which this is not.

The requirements to work for this company must be next to none! Never in my entire adult life have I been yelled at by someone working in customer service! A collection account for this company appeared on my credit report out of nowhere on 12/17/24. I say out of nowhere because Ive never received any form of communication from these people regarding a balance owed for services I may have received. I attempted to call the company to get details on where the debt originated from and asked why Ive never been contacted prior to a debt of $2571 appearing on my credit report and the agent on the phone yelled at me saying they received my file on 11/7/24 and a letter was mailed to my PO Box on 11/14/24. First and foremost, I dont have a PO Box and have been living at my current address for the past two years and my mail comes to my home address. I attempted to explain this to her and request that I be sent a copy of said **** from the originator and again was yelled at by the customer service agent. I refuse to pay a debt for a proposed bill that Ive never received any form of communication for!Business Response

This account does not belong to me. I have not signed any contract. The date on my credit report said is was open 9/1/2024 and the document that they presented says date of service was from 02/24/2020-2/24/2020. Not to mention there are so many inaccuracies on the account that they are reporting. I understand that by law this is supposed to be reporting 100% accurate. There are ton of missing information and discrepancies. I demand this account to be removed from my credit report.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: This account does not belong to me. I did not sign any contract with that hospital or the collection agency. they have violated my rights in many ways. If this account is not removed; I will be seeking legal advice from a consumer lawyer and possibly pursue arbitration.
