On August 9, 2025, I authorized a charge to convert one file to a PDF for $0.95. I did not agree to sign up for any type of monthly subscription. On August 16, 2025, The Best PDF charged my account $39.95. Upon looking into their further, they put a monthly subscription onto my account. I have cancelled the subscription, but can not get into contact with anyone to reverse this unauthorized charge. Their phone number instructs you to email them. This is fraud.Business Response

This business steals money by creating make accounts and charging money via stolen bank account information. I never signed up for this service. I sent them screenshots of the charges to my bank and my card info so they could find the charges to refund and cancel. They proceeded to send me over a dozen emails going in circles siting other emails that have nothing to do with me and finding excuse after excuse on why they could not find my account and therefore could not fix the fraudulent charges they were making. I take 7-days subscription and they take fees after 7 days they automatically renew for monthly package as I dont want it anymore and I dont choose it! I attached a receipt that was sent to my email. I only wanted to order one document. They automatically enrolled me in a monthly subscription for $39.95. And now refuse to issue me a refund. Oh, well, they just did once I said I was writing a complaint to the BBB. They said I should be refunded in 14 days. I wanted to make you aware of this though. No company should automatically enroll you in a monthly subscription. I'm not sure if this is legal, but it shouldn't be. just got out of the hospital today, i had a seizure and my card and phone have been compromised as i have been in the hospital since august 1st recovering, i stated this nicely to the company and asked if i needed to provide documentation (which is obviously no problem, but if i have to go through the stress of this ill just provide it to my bank and have them file a dispute. I will also complain to the cfpb and ftc so please just refund my money this is a lot of stress from someone just getting out of the hospital, i did not authorize this. you offered me 2 extra free years and i politely declined (which would be enticing to someone who was just mad they got charged) but i genuinely have no use for this service. give me my 40$ now pleaseBusiness Response

On August 2nd, 2025, I had some pdf pages merged into one document for .95 cents. I was today, on August 9th, 2025 charged $39.95 for a subscription. I find this a very predatory practice. I sent and email and they immediately canceled my subscription without offering a refund. So I have now paid $40.90 for a subscription that was advertized for "infrequent" users. You can't get much more infrequent than "once". $40.90 is absurd for creating one pdf document and I am sure I am not the only victim of this practice. They can keep the $0.95, but a refund of the $39.95 is what I expect.Business Response

The best pdf charged $0.96 for a 7 days plan to edit pdf files. After a week they charged me $39.95 for a monthly plan that I never requested, and they say that it is the terms and conditions. On 27.01.2025 I paid 0.95 euros to register and try to translate a PDF document into a Word document. After that date I have not used your services and today I see that every month you charge my MasterCard with ***** euros.
