    On 08/22/25, a purchase was made to Thebestpdf.com for $0.95. I made this payment as a one time purchase and was not made clear of a subscription based service by the website or the company. On 09/14/25, a charge was made to my card for $39.95. After looking in to the issue, many others have made the same complaint and detailed that the business is not transparent in the slightest about this subscription. I immediately reached out to the company regarding cancelling the subscription, which was cancelled, but have had no response to a refund. I am seeking a full refund of the $39.95 charge.

    I purchased 1 week of usage from this company for $0.95 on 08/25/2025. Without my permission, the company charged me $39.95 09/01/2025. The subscription was never desired, nor was it disclosed, so I am requesting a refund of the unauthorized charge of $39.95. I attempted to pursue a refund through the company but was told that the money that was taken without my permission is non-refundable.     I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me in terms of refunding.

    However, there are numerous other reports about this same poor business practice, and I am sure many more will come due to a checkout process that is obviously designed to be misleading. I am attaching the ****** checkout page to show how deceiving the offer is. There is extremely small text at the bottom of the page with a font color that barely contrasts the background color that states this is a trial. All other information provided directly to the user suggests this is a single purchase of 7 days of access. This is obviously deceiving and seeing the number of complaints about this exact issue, this company must be aware that this is deceiving. Although I am satisfied with my personal refund, I would like to see this malicious intent to mislead users cease to exist so that others don't have to resolve this issue this way.

    I have paid them back at the end of June a "one time" fee to fill out and download a w9 form. I chose not to start a subscription because I did not need the service again after that. Since that day they have been charging my ****** 0.95 for a weekly subscription and attempting to charge my cashapp card for two different charges. One charge for $34.83 and one charge for $39.99. They attempt to take both charges out at the same time and they attempt it a couple times a month. I have sent them an email requesting that they refund my money and stop trying to charge my card. I have received an email back saying they would look into the matter back on july 30th and nothing has changed yet. I have also attempted to call them a few times and it goes immediately to voicemail and they do not call me back. I have left my name and number on their voicemail also a couple times so I know they have my information. It seems as if they are avoiding me and continuing to charge me for something I have not requested.

    I signed up for ********** in July 2025 for a one-time $1 payment to compress a PDF, which I considered fair. However, without my authorization, the company charged me $30 on July 26, 2025, and again $30 on August 25, 2025 as subscription renewals.I never agreed to a subscription or automatic renewal. I only intended to make the initial $1 payment.When I try to log into my account to cancel, the login page keeps loading and does not allow me to access the cancellation option.     I purchased a single file for $0.95 from TheBestPDF.com on 8/15/25. On 8/21/25 $39.95 was charged to my **** under the pretense that "a free-trial" resulted in a subscription. The product I purchased was not free, and the use of the term "free trial" is misleading marketing. I did not use a free-trial. I did not sign up for a subscription. I purchased a single file and was later charged a subscription anyway.

    The week of 08/17/25-08/23/25 I paid for a one time pdf document advertised as $1.95. I was then enrolled without my permission in a subscription that cost $49.00 , and then subsequently charged $39.95 , totaling $ *****. So one pdf document cost me $*****. I never agreed to enrolling in a subscription and I tried to handle a refund or resolution with the company and was told that my subscription was non refundable and it was cancelled so no more money would be withdrawan.

    The explanation that account was created is attempt on their part to justify. I saw nothing regarding 7 day trial nor cancellation to avoid monthly subscription.  They simply offered a 1 item download for .95cents. There was nothing provided free. 

    I will most definitely be more dilligent in falling for such in the future.

    I'm rejecting closure of case until such time my refund of $39.95 is received whether by ****** or said company in review.

    I agreed to purchase for a single day of PDF conversion for $.99. Four days later they billed me for $39.95 for a monthly subscription. This is not what I wanted nor did I order it via their website. I see multiple other complaints similar to this fraudulent billing for this company.

    I payed a one time fee of 0.95euro and no where did i see that this purchase would tie me into some uncostly subscription. As to my upmost suprise a couple weeks later i get my bank card charged with ***** euros. I am very careful about purchasing anything on the internet that has subscription charatersitics. And i am very fluent in the english language as for I am an US citizen born and raised so i have no language barrier. Neverthless somewhere somehow i was tricked into this one time purchase which co verted my one document to another format. Then I get my account drained of ***** euros on sunday 17.08.2025. How rude. This transaction made me feel as if i were being treated as a complete idiot. Perhaps to some people ***** euros is not worth fighting over but to me it is and if i dont get this money back into my account today i will have very negative consequences to pay inthe future . I am on a fixed income and im in a wheelchair. And i have no other means of getting funds back into my bank account until i get my pension next month. Therefore i need a refund and not in two weeks but today. Of all the nerve to think Im going to wait 14 days as all the other people complaining here on the bbb website for a refund fro thebestpdf.com, and just sit and wait for them to "accidentaly" charge my bank card account again perhaps??? Then I'll tell you right now, I'm not going to wait!! I demand a refund today !! Or I will be forced to take further steps in filing this report with other agencys as a "well know fraud site" and should be taken down from the internet immediately!!

    On August 9, 2025, I authorized a charge to convert one file to a PDF for $0.95. I did not agree to sign up for any type of monthly subscription. On August 16, 2025, The Best PDF charged my account $39.95. Upon looking into their further, they put a monthly subscription onto my account. I have cancelled the subscription, but can not get into contact with anyone to reverse this unauthorized charge. Their phone number instructs you to email them. This is fraud.
