1 starCalled for urgent frozen pipe *********** day later nice technician came out unprepared for problem (no heat gun or heaters) tried to use MY space heaters..ineffective! Was charged over $300 for almost nothing.Was offered a $1500 quote to temporarily heat under house for temporarily solution. Another contractor offered half that cost to replace pipe heat to permanently fix problem.Review fromJoan E

1 starPaul The Plumber fixed a toilet in our house on 1/6/24 that wasnt finishing filling up its water tank. It would get almost full and then sputter and hiss, because the float assembly wouldnt shut off water flow completely. This was due to the toilets guts being over 18 years old.**** B replaced the internal tank components (guts) and its now good as new. Technically, Paul the Plumbers crew was professional and get the job done quickly. Unfortunately, there is one aspect of the service call that was outrageous. We were charged $590 to replace a couple of components in the toilet tank in just over an hour. We trusted that (as a highly advertised, Veteran-Owned business) we were getting a fair and reasonable price. Talking with managers ***** and ***** afterwards, they stuck to their party line of thats how we price jobs, e.g., not as time and materials, but a flat rate per effort. An exorbitantly high cost! We were price-gouged and wont do business with them again. Calling around afterwards, several other plumbers quoted half this amount for the same situation. We were under a time crunch to get this fixed and didnt check beforehand and it cost us.Paul The Plumber

We are priced the way we are for numerous reasons, but ultimately it comes down to what it costs us to deliver a high level of service for customers. We also always quote the price of the job, and get approval before we do the work. Its true that smaller, or one man operations can be cheaper, but we do business differently, and have found that thousands of homeowners in ** see tremendous value in the way we operate. Good questions to ask when youre considering going with a cheaper company; Will they be available for me when I need them? Can I trust that theyll show up on time, and complete the work when they say they will? Has the person who comes to my home been background checked? Are they competent and knowledgeable on how to fix my problem? Do they offer the same guarantees and warranty on their work, and actually stand by them? Do they properly compensate their employees with fair wages, benefits, and health insurance? At Paul The Plumber we try to create a customer experience that goes beyond just the job itself. In order to do that, and answer yes to all the questions above, there are added costs, but we truly believe that it is the right way to do business.Review fromVictoria C

5 starsPaul the Plumber really helped me out. My boiler wasn't working and I called companies that I am or have been a customer of previously and they weren't able to come out for a few weeks. I guess a broken boiler in ** in Dec isn't an emergency. I came across Paul the Plumber on a ****** search and they gave me an appt in 2 days. The tech *** was professional, knowledgeable and very nice. I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of and he gave me a few options for repairs, knowing that I was replacing my boiler when it warmed up a bit. I will definitely be calling in the future when I need work donePaul The Plumber

5 stars**** did a fabulous job replacing the spout in our downstairs bathroom and adjusting the upstairs toilet so that it worked properly. He arrived in a timely manner and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. I know some people complain about the expense, but these people are highly skilled and trained.
