February 20th I was sent 3 letters (references: *******, *******, *******) detailing 3 open accounts (account numbers: *******, *******, *******).
The reason I am complaining here is because this business cannot be reached in any way.
The letters state the following methods of correspondence:
I supposedly can reach them by phone; yet I am unable to speak to anyone.
I can file a dispute the accounts electronically, except no email address is listed nor does their website actually have ANY options to dispute or even contact them about these accounts.
For a business to be this poorly reachable by phone or via the internet is outrageous; it's not the 90's anymore, we should be able to reach out to each other in a more timely and reliable manner than snail mail.
I have seen other complaints received direct communications from this business, I would like to know what number I can actually call to speak to someone.
The accounts themselves have been settled with the original creditor and I have attached the receipt to this complaint.Business Response

received a notice that I have a collection from ACCT RES CRP on my credit report. It says it was opened on 06/20/2022 for $120 with account number starting in ******* that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never went into business with this company or signed any agreements with them so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. This is a violation of my rights as a consumer according to the FCRA and FDCPA.
I would like for this collection to be removed asap or I will file a CFPB and FTC report.Business Response

On February 5th, Account Resolution Corp posted against my credit report for a charge that I did not incur. These are false reports to my credit report that need to be removed. ARC did send on 5/4/22 a validation notice to the consumer which would have documented the right to dispute and request validation. There was no mail return on this sent letter. ARC did not receive any request for validation. The consumer did call ARC on 3/3/23 and indicated to ARC that the creditor said there was no balance due for this account. ARC relayed this information to the client on 3/3/23 and ARC closed the account on 3/3/23. Account
Resolution Corporation (ARC) received this complaint 19521213 on 3/1/23. The
consumer indicates consumers are not able to reach ARC for a resolution. Consumer
indicates that ARC does not send mail and does not answer the phone. The
consumer’s desired resolution is to pay the bill and have this removed from
credit reporting.
ARC sends mail
and answers the phones. The consumer has three accounts at ARC. All three
accounts have received letters. One of the accounts was paid in full and closed
within 8 days of placement in March 2022. The consumer called on 3/2/23 concerned
that she was not able to reach ARC on 3/1/23. The employees of ARC were at a team building meeting out of the office
on 3/1/23 for the day at 1pm. The
consumer did pay the one account in full over the phone on 3/2/23. The payment in full status was reported to
the credit reporting agencies in March 2023. The third account was paid in full before credit reporting started. All of the consumers’ accounts at ARC are now
closed and paid in full. When an account
reaches a paid in full status in our office, our office will report the
respective status to the credit reporting agencies. When an account is paid in full, our office
considers the account closed. After an
account becomes a paid in full status, our office will report this account as
paid in full for approximately sixty to ninety days to the credit reporting
agencies. After this time period, our
office considers the account closed and is returned to our client. When an account is closed and returned to our
client, our office will no longer credit report this account. This was explained to the consumer in the
call on 3/2/23.
Since the accounts
are closed and the consumer’s desired resolution will be met, there was nothing
further for ARC to do currently as it relates to the complaint. However, ARC
remains available to discuss the complaint with the consumer at any time.
