I just purchased on 7/2/2025 and the app was not user friendly so I called the customer support number given on their website. The support person took me through hoops asking for access to my computer and I ask him why are you asking me questions that had nothing to do with my canceling my account and getting a refund? The support person became very rude after I asked if this was a scam and hung up on me. I call back a second time and the same conversation took place and was hung up on again, so I tried using the chat and the same thing happen they could not help me with my cancellation and I'm afraid that now that they have my credit card info. they may try and scam me out of more money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY SERVICES!

I had Kaspersky antivirus on my computer. When homeland security threw them out of the **, Kaspersky sold (or transferred) all their US accounts to AV **********************. Before this transfer became known to me, I had purchased another antivirus. I then received an e-mail from AV with nothing in the body of the e-mail, it was blank!! Since then, they have tried to bill my CC 8 times for $106.99. (i cancelled my credit card after the first time and the bank issued me another when I told them what was going on) Well, today when they tried to bill my cc twice i got fed up and sent them an e-mail with everything that had transpired, and their reply was we will cancel your subscription. I NEVER HAD A SUBSCRIPTION WITH THESE PEOPLE. NEVER TALKED TO THEM BEFORE. NEVER DID ANY RESEARCH ON THEIR BUSINESS AND AFTER THIS WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

I have had nothing but problems with this company about unauthorized charges and duplicate charges and I now have another another unauthorized charge to my non-profit credit card. I have had to cancel my card with my bank and get a new card. My bank is initiating a dispute on this charge. Do not do business with this company which has developed a program Total Ad Block.

Many issues in 1 yr with TotalAV. Within an hour of paying the annual subscription premium and installing the software's services and additional add-ons, I began receiving pop-up TotalAV notifications daily for a year that read: "This Protection Expired!"I called the company, and was assured that I had all of the services that I paid for. I was advised by TotalAV to just ignore the pop-up warnings that appeared dozens of times a day on each of my laptop screens.I have low confidence that the **** Dark Web, Anti-virus protections actually worked due to the hundreds of TotalAV notifications, "This Protection Expired!" that I received since buying the annual subscription. Yes, periodic scans did run on the laptops and the password reminder's log-in popped up constantly.Lastly, Tech ************************** at ************************ is elusive. If only TotalAV had provided Tech Support or **************** to address my concerns, then perhaps I would not be as suspicious of and frustrated with the company.I went through 9 phone numbers found on the internet for TotalAV and finally reached a human, but the company was called "ScanGuard" - NOT TOTALAV! 8 of the phone numbers I called were defunct. I reached a very indifferent woman with an "attitude" in ***** who would not help me correct the issues that I had encountered and did not provide any suggestion or answers to my questionsl She (*******) demanded that I renew my subscription with my newly updated credit card number (which they didn't yet have). THEN - SHE HUNG UP ON **** wouldn't recommend this company if it were ******* Friends, Only Buy American Products & Services!

SCAM ARTISTS!!!! On 9/27/2024, my husband purchased the Total Anti-Virus Software for $29.00. When I checked our credit card statement, they charged us for 3 additional products that we didn't purchase: $38.96, $38.95 and $38.98 for a total of $116.89!! We called to complain and get a refund. They asked me to click on a link so that they could check what was on our computer. I realized later that it was a program that gained access to our computer!! They did a "check" and said that they would give us a refund for the 3 products that we didn't purchase. However, we never received a refund. I have called up a couple of times and they can never find our account. SCAM ARTISTS!!!! DO NOT BUY THEIR SOFTWARE!!!!!

Would leave zero stars if that was an option. They raised the monthly price without informing me they were going to do that. Then I uninstalled the app, but 2 months in a row they have withdrawn funds from my back. They are difficult to reach, finally reached someone who I could barely understand. Then they said I would get a call from their billing department within the hour. Two hours later, no call. Called them back. They said it would be possibly 2 hours before they called me back. BIG mistake ever using them. Stay away from them!

I made a mistake when I decided to give TotalAV a try. It was a promotional offer and I was having issues with my device, and after all of the messages saying my device was unprotected and could be in danger I tried it. My total charge was to be $40.99 but what was taken was $157.88. Several unauthorized withdrawls happened $116.89 worth of add on's and they renew every year for $99.00 each.. there's 3 plus the one that I was going to try. TotalAV C.Reps redirected the reply email addresses . I was furious and I'd had enough after 8 days and countless emails so I sent a email direct (no reply) said that I was going to file a complaint with the BBB and legal action would follow. That was yesterday morning later I received a email from a different cust.Rep who must have read my email because he responded with a email telling me that all of my money would be put back into my banking account within 2-5 business days, so I checked my account and pending is what my account is saying!! Being put back the same way it was taken out. And I owe it to " The Better Business Bureau". I did agree to the $40.99 but I didn't download the TotalAV app. Therefore I only wanted a refund, they said I needed to download the TotalAV app then put in my password to get to my dashboard and activate my account, then I could cancel my subscription. But I didn't download their TotalAV app so I had no account, no subscription to cancel, I only wanted a refund of what they took. If they hadn't refunded my money pretty soon..would I have taken legal steps? Yes I would have, because they lead me to believe that they knew my device was indeed infected and my photos as well as my files had been damaged, and that TotalAV could fix it. I hope that my experience has been helpful before someone gets into financial trouble. I got lucky. God Bless and be aware. ****** *****
