1 starI have 4 detectors that keep beeping and I had to unplug all of them. I changed the batteries and when I plugged one of them back in it started to go off. I had to leave all of them unplugged last night. They are all still under warranty. I have been trying for hours this morning and still haven't been able to get through to anyone at First Alert. I have called probably 20 times and the error message on their customer service line is that "an application error has occurred." I haven't been able to get through to anyone. For a company that is suppose to help people protect their homes, reaching their customer service support has been very frustrating and stressful.First Alert

1 starI have had problems with the P1210 randomly going off with 2 or sometimes 3 beeps. Sometimes the light blinks green, sometimes red and not at all other times! There is not even an explanation to a 2 beep. I am so disappointed and will not purchase this brand again. I am up at 1:40 am typing this because it went off!!!!Thanks for nothing.First Alert

1 starPurchase two PC1210s in April 2022; both died by June 2023. Crazy that these are essentially single use smoke detectors with no way to replace or recharge batteries. These were not cheap but very cheaply made... made to fail, that is.First Alert

1 starI've had to replace 4 of the model P1200 smoke detectors in the past year ( 3 in the last 2 months ! ) Never had any false alrms until I replaced my old detector ( that was with the house I bought ) . After about 6 months the first P1200 started to go off for no reason . I took it down , cleaned it out as directed and put it back up . One hour later it was going off again !I decided to replace that with a new one . Well .... the bateery wouldn't stay in there properly . returned that one . Next one after 2 weeks started to give off false alarms . Replaced that one ... now one week after , it's giving alarms for no reason again . I stopped it by blowing in it , but 10 minutes later it went off again . It's in my hallway on the ceiling , not near any vents , it's not dusty , not near anything really that would cause this issue . Is this P1200 defective ? Obviously . Probably why I can't find any info on this particular model anywhere . I can find the P1210 ... but nor this oneFirst Alert

We are sorry to hear of this consumers nuisance alarm experience. There can be various reasons for a nuisance alarm. Location of the alarm, dust or insects getting into the sensing chamber or even installing a battery operated alarm in the place where a hardwired alarm used to be over a junction box. From your message it sounds like you are preforming the appropriate maintenance to the alarms and this location sounds like it is good. We would like to help you.The P1200 is still being manufactured- but depending on what the code is in your area- it might not be sold because it doesn't have a 10yr sealed battery; which might be why you can find the P1210.First Alert stands by our products and the warranty of those products. We have technical support available 7 days a week for your convenience at **************. We would like the opportunity to assist you and to provide a resolution. Please give us a call or you can also reach us via email at: [email protected] & we look forward to hearing from you!Review fromGreg G

1 starPurchased six P1210 First Alert Smoke Alarms from ****** and all have failed after 2 to 3 years after installation with the last one failing today after 3 years of use (date stamped 2019-JUN 25). I have recycled the other five with the City of Austin household hazardous waste recycling center. I was told previously my First Alert Alarms were out of warranty. I have replaced the faulty P1210 Alarms with ****** First Alert Alarms model P1210E. So far the P1210E alarms have not failed.First Alert

1 starI have 6 First Alert PC1210 in my home. All have June 21 2022-L31 stamp. Well 3 of the 6 have gone off with a smoke alert at random times such as 3am in the morning for no reason. In the last 30 days. The only way I could stop it was to deactivate. I looked at other reviews and see I am not alone. I am very dissatisfied with this product.First Alert

1 starI purchased a first alert Onelink smart combo smoke/carbon monoxide detector. It started giving ** problems almost immediately. I contacted customer support very quickly. It took them 6 months to reply to the first one my 9 tickets I had submitted. Then they told me I was out of warranty. But I wouldnt have been if they contacted me in a timely manner. This is a shame and I cannot recommend this company. I feel that they purposely were very slow to response so they wouldnt have to honor the warranty.First Alert

1 starI purchased 5 First Alert model#P1210, 10 year fire alarms and 1 fire/carbon monoxide alarm at ********** in 2021. I replaced all of my older alarms, 4 of them, and the 1 carbon monoxide on 4/1/2022. By September of 2022, all 4 fire alarm had false activated and the only way to stop them was to "deactivate" permanently. I called **********, where I had purchased them, and was told that I needed to contact First Alert. I tried but got no where with them. I had an extra alarm (as I had used only 4 of the 5 purchased) of which I used as a replacement on 9/23/2022. Last night, that alarm false activated too. I have spoken to many of my friends whom have had the same issue. I believe that there needs to be a better quality product to protect ** from dying in a fire.First Alert
