I am rejecting this response because:

I have reached out using the email provided and have yet to hear a response. We are still receiving the requests and our employee who has the information being requesting has become increasing agitated. They still insist they have not taken any action in the past 3 months that would require employment verification.

    Sincerely,

I run a business and employ people. This company contacted me today to request information about a person. They did not seem to have any authorization from the person to do so. I asked them to send me a signed release by the person they are seeking information on, and so I provided them my email address. It appears they asked for my email address under false pretenses, as they did not send me a signed release, but instead sent me a request for information without any signed release. It seems they were fishing for information, and also did that to me when requesting my email address. Also, when they emailed me, they apparently included the last 4 digits of the social security number of the person they are requesting information for. I am in ********** and this is a violation of California privacy law.No one should cooperate with this company. I think they are doing this for debt collections, but not advising people it is for debt collections, which is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I happen to be an attorney running a law firm that represents individuals against companies violating their rights, so I'm well aware of all the laws this company violated when they contacted me twice.

Was informed from a previous employer that this company called and left voicemail for verification of employment. I did not verify that this be done and information given was and could have been given to the wrong hands. I do not know why they are calling for my information and would like them to not contact my previous or future employment.

On 1/18/24, the company RNN GROUP, had sent a fax to my employer looking to verify employment. Personal information was on this fax, that just about anyone would have access to. I have no credit in collections, as my credit score is excellent. I have not applied for any credit that has not been approved. This business seems very "shady", and do not want to be on there "list".

RNN has contacted staff via email requesting my employment verification. The inquiry was not sent to appropriate personnel such as our human resources department. The email the inquiry was sent to is reviewed by staff who should not have access to information about my current or former employment and the inquiry sent contained the last 4 digits of an SSN. I have not provided permission to contact any employer and RNN does not indicated that this is a state or federal government related employment verification request request. I would like this company to stop sending employment verification requests or calling my current/former employers and others unless they have a valid state or federal government related need to obtain this information.

12/27/23 & 12/28/23: someone by the name of ********************* claiming to be with this company attempted to do an employment verification on me through my employer. I tried reaching out on 12/27/23 to find out what this was about but received no response on my personal contact information I left on her voicemail. She tried again 12/28/23 and since I am the manager of the company they were put through to me and when I asked why they were trying to do an employment verification on me as I had not given permission to anyone or applied for anything, I was told that she cannot tell me why they are doing the verification. I find to be very unprofessional and inappropriate since they have my personal information and cannot tell me why or how they got it which I am sure is within my rights.
