We "won" the $500 prize and we asked to come back to pick up our prize while we were in *****.. Once we returned, we found ourselves in a promotional meeting about all the values of Save on Vacations. We were taken into another room where it was just us and two salespersons, one supposedly just flew down from headquarters in ******* and we were told all the benefits of joining: cheap airfare, great prices for *******, rental cars at a fantastic discounts on weekend getaways, etc. We got up from the table, not willing to continue but they offered a bunch more of benefits and a reduced initial payment. Unfortunately we signed the papers and joined Save on Vacations. Once we returned to **********, we followed through on all the paperwork and internet connects to get our 'big discounts". Untrue. We tried to use it for airfares from ********* to Ft Lauderdale and were told that airfares are so competitive that they can't offer better prices. We later tried to use it for rental cars and got the same answers. We looked at it for ******* in both January 2024 but their prices were higher than what we could get directly from ***************. We went on another cruise in February 2024 and again the prices on Princess ******* as less that Save on Vacations. The only savings we had were on two hotel reservations we made through Save on Vacations and the total savings was about $100. So much for the great savings of thousands of dollars. We are letting our membership expire after on year, counting the money we paid initially as a loss. DO NOT JOIN. THEY AREN'T TELLING YOU THE ***** AND THERE ARE NO FANTASTIC SAVING THAT WILL PAY FOR YOUR MEMBERSHIP :OVER AND OVER'.
