My ********** purchased a sofa & special order ottoman for almost 3k. I was told because the ottoman is a special order I needed to call before 8pm day of order for any changes. That evening, I decided to put a hold on the order because I was having 2nd thoughts on the sofa set. I called and spoke with a CSR agent and asked the order be placed on hold. The man said no problem, & held it for me. The very next morning I went back in & found another sofa set I liked better & they refunded me for the previous order. I got home and saw I was charged $148.75 for the ottoman. Spoke with several *********** kept telling me "you need to call day of order before 8pm to cancel the order." Which is what I did. I was also told that holds are not allowed. My question is, then why was a told it was on a hold? I was told orders are processed when the order is placed, and cannot be stopped. Also said, orders are processed AFTER 8 and cannot be stopped. So which is it? As soon as an order is placed, or after 8? I cant help but think that my order was pushed through without my knowledge, and I am being charged for their mistake. I should have been told orders cant be placed on hold. CSRs have been terrible, and they did not want to listen to what I had to say. They refuse to take accountability on their end, & insist I am in the wrong by not calling them before 8pm..Which I did. The supervisor called me & left a message which was very condescending. She said several times "You have to call before 8pm day of order to cancel." Like I didn't understand that simple rule. They refuse to refund me for their mistake which would have resolved the issue quickly, & they would not have lost another customer. Policy's are there for a reason, and I would be the first to admit if I made a mistake. I did it exactly the way I was told to. I will not be going back there again, & I will not be recommending them to anyone.
