On September 15, 2022, Better Business Bureau contacted Polygroup Services N.A. Inc concerning advertising claims found on its website,www.polygroupstore.com/aboutus.asp. Specifically, Polygroup Services N.A. Inc claims, "Polygroup is the world’s largest designer and manufacturer of artificial Christmas trees and seasonal lighting" without providing any substantiation.
According to the Code of Advertising, advertisers bear primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any claims or offers made before publication or broadcast and, upon request, present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.
Despite written requests, as of December 1, 2022, Polygroup Services N.A. Inc has failed to substantiate or modify the claim.
