    On Sunday March 31st 2024, I paid Bonanza.com a $10 fee to sign up my new account and "have a booth" on their site. I never received any correspondence from ******* at all (not even a welcome email, payment confirmation, or email stating that my account set up was processing). So on April 1st 2024, I tried logging in to my Bonanza account to see if my booth had been set up. I was unsuccessful in accessing my account and instead, I received an odd error message stating that I was logged out. I contacted Bonanza customer service to explain the issue I was having (see attachment #1). I also attached a screenshot to that email to show Bonanza the error message I was receiving when trying to log into my account. I concluded my email by requesting a refund if the error could not be fixed. On April 2nd I received a response from **************** at Bonanza - see attachment #2 - stating that their "system" was preventing Bonanza from opening my account, and due to "security restrictions" they couldn't elaborate further. ****** made no reference to my refund request. I responded to **************** on April 2nd (see attachment #3) and requested a refund as my account was never even opened. ****** did not respond. So today - April 3rd - I sent her a follow-up email, again requesting a refund (please see attachment #4). Again, I received no response. So now I am reporting this situation to the Better Business Bureau as Bonanza.com has acted fraudulently and literally stolen my money. I know it's only $10, but it's the principal, and **************** and Bonanza.com are likely hoping that I - like so many others - will not bother to make a fuss over $10 and just let it go. This is disgusting and illegal behavior and if they do this to enough people I am sure they make a nice profit out of their scam. I am requesting a refund of the $10 I paid Bonanza.com. ******* never even opened my account, nevermind set up my booth. They literally just took my money and then ignored my refund requests.

    I have used Bonanza for years and would not hesitate to buy there as long as I used PayPal for my own protection.For sellers, the site used to be exceptional, with speedy, human customer service. But now ******* has added a penalty fee for sellers who don't purchase their shipping, which they claim is the lowest around. Don't be fooled; it's not even close to the lowest.They also claim they will refund you if you buy their shipping and find a lower-priced service elsewhere. I'm still waiting for that refund to appear.And, just to solidify *******'s standing as Worst Shipping Ever, when you do buy their shipping, they add a $2 charge, which will be put toward the next shipping you buy from them, so "you're really not losing anything." As if. When you use the $2 they stole from you to buy a new shipping label, ******* will take another $2, so you'll never really get that money back. It's just a kind of blackmail to force you to buy their shipping.Imagine going into ******* for a pack of Oreos and finding a two-dollar charge added on."What's that for?" you ask."Don't worry, the next time you come in, we'll apply that $2 to your purchase.""And then you'll charge me another $2 for shopping in your store.""Basically, yes."Let's face it, if Bonanza really did offer the cheapest shipping around, would they have to use extortion to get sellers to buy it? We'd leap at the chance to save on shipping. The fact that they have to force us to use it just proves it's a bad deal.So, buying on Bonanza? Go for it. Selling on Bonanza? Be wary.
