I, ***********************, purchased a flight ticket for my business partner *********************. There was insurance purchased for this flight as well from AIG Travel Guard. After opening a claim and providing all the documentation the reimbursement (the service that was paid for and written in their policies) was denied. I am including the email from *** claim reviewer who states that: "there is no coverage under the policy for the claim presented. According to the information provided, you filed a claim because your trip was interrupted due to common carrier reasons. Unfortunately, this reason does not fall within one of the named, covered perils on the policy." The claim reviewer includes the list of causes of trip interruptions that the company covers. Section (o) states: "Inclement Weather other than a hurricane causing cancellation or delay of the Insureds or Traveling Companions Trip".An email from ****** Airlines is also included with an explanation stating "Flight NK-1556 is delayed due to a weather advisory from Air Traffic Control (ATC)." (attached). As you can see this kind of situation MUST be reimbursed according to the insurance company's stated policies and rules. However, I was denied. The decision to deny reimbursement contradicts the contract and services they promise to provide, which makes this business deceiving, untrustworthy, and borderline scam-like. I
