      It is a pleasure to write about Metropolitan Exteriors. They have done my roof as well as the roofs of my daughter's and son's houses. This is, without a doubt, a most reliable and honest roofing company. Their work is top quality, and the prices are considerably less than that of other roofers. Their project manager, Chris R******, is most caring, intelligent, and meticulous. He takes care of fine details. The work is well supervised every step of the way, unlike many other companies where nobody supervises the workers and simply appear on site for signature and payment. I must mention that this company stands behind its work, and if you need any help (even after the project is completed and paid for) Chris R****** makes sure that the problem is taken care of. I highly recommend this roofing company without any reservation.

      On June 29, my fiancé and I put in an offer on our first home. With our realtors help, we contacted our mortgage lender and he began the long paperwork process. Our offer was accepted! This home was owned by Jeff (owner of Metro Ex.) we had our FIRST inspection on July 7. The inspection report came back with a long list of red, which we asked the seller to fix and he agreed. The house sat UNTOUCHED for about 3 weeks. We were told it was due to storms that had recently hit our area, later he confessed, it was because he was waiting for the appraisal. He basically wanted to see if it was even worth fixing while keeping us HANDCUFFED to the house and getting our hopes up. Our second inspection was on July 28. We pulled up to the house a slew on contractors just starting the repairs. The manager Traci assured me that almost all the work had been done! To my surprise, only a few cosmetic things had been done to the home and there were people in the crawlspace “working”. There was just enough things going on to make us feel as if we were insane for being worried that the house was not going to be ready for closing on our expected date of Aug 5. Another week went by. Aug 4, was supposed to be our final walkthrough. We had put our faith in Metro that our home was ready. It wasn’t. We pushed back closing then had ANOTHER final walk through on Aug 10, guess what…THE HOUSE STILL WASN’T READY. This company strung us along for over a month. Failed to make the proper repairs to the home and in the end tried to keep our deposit like WE were the ones in the wrong. They want to keep the deposit because he “spent nearly $1,000 in tile." ONE - the tile (pricing) isn’t a part of the contract and they said it would be completed regardless. TWO - no you didn’t because I pulled up how much per tile/quantity and it comes up to $588.62. THREE - they will benefit from the new tile anyways because I'm not buying the home so it’s still theirs. 0/10…would NOT RECOMMEND.

      I just want everyone to know if your looking for professional services not to choose this company if they have Omar K***** leading the job. At first I thought he was joking with his crew and just spoke loud. However there were countless times he would yell profanity and almost child like tantrums when he even threw his "tool Belt" and engaging in what seemed like it was almost a physical confrontation with multiple crew members. Having one of his crew members walk off the job site. I am just glad my kids were away for the week. Do yourself a favor and find a different contrator.

      In response to the review above. We at Metropolitan pride ourselves on customer service and quality in our workmanship. I would first like to point out that Mrs. Smith is not a customer of Metropolitan in any capacity. We were contracted to work on her neighbors house and although I do apologize that she heard a disagreement within my workers it has no bearing on the quality of work provided to our customer, so I feel that leaving a review asking people to look for another contractor is a bit harsh, being that we have never worked for her & the quality of our work speaks for itself. So once again, I do apologize for a disagreement she heard at her neighbors house involving the workers, which was rectified and we continue to work together daily. Please note that the customers house we are working on has no issues with anything we have done.

      I’m submitting this complaint because this Company is Not professional, No Good with their words, does not value their customer and Refuses to communicate after receiving full payment. The Company sent me documentations once the work was done on September 2021. Some documents are related to the warranty. In addition, there is a letter that encourages me to refer to someone for a $250 reward. I checked with the project manager about the validity of this reward program and he confirmed and validated the legitimacy of the offer. Then I referred to a good friend of mine and they finally used their service at the end of October 2021. But I did not get my referral fee until now after four months later! I spoke to the manager again over the phone, emails and texts. He said the check had been issued but he is not willing to help investigating or clarifying it with the office. He said to me “my work is done!”. I wrote a letter and address it to the Owner of Metropolitan Exterior, Mr. Jeff T***** on December 27 2021 but my letter was ignored. Again, I emailed the office approximately a week later requesting explanation to the check that supposedly sent to me. It was also ignored. I’m talking about a Company’s letter promising their customer a reward program in writing with the Company letter head, hand signed by the Proud owner, Jeff T***** but he doesn’t even has the courtesy to respond. I cannot call a Company like this a trustworthy Company. What will happen when I need to contact them for the warranty in the future? Will I be ignored again? After spending more than $7 grants they still don’t see me as their value customer even after I mentioned to the project manager that I manage more than 10 properties in my area. To others who plan to look for a roofer, I definitely DONOT recommend Metropolitan Exteriors, Inc. because they’ll get your payment and thereafter they do not wish to communicate with you anymore.

      In regards to Mr.S******* complaint. We do in fact offer a referral fee as apart of our reward program as stated... HOWEVER the reward is not released until said referred customers work has been completed and paid in full. We do not mail rewards out for simply passing a name along. Work has to be completed and paid in full, and for the record... Said customer was paid on 11/12/2021 via a completed finance deal which takes a littler longer than standard payment. But it appears I mailed out a check on 11/4/2021 BEFORE his referral final balance was received by our office. I have tried to call Sutjahjo to reach out to let him know we infact mailed the check , he may have to check with his current renters to see if they got it. The letter to Mr. Thomas was received at the end of December, however it was not ignored. Mr. Thomas was out of the country at the time and it was given to him upon his return on Jan 10th. Also we did return his phone call & left a message. Upon that phone call a check was mailed on 11/4/ 2021. To hear that a complaint was lodged on us not based on our workmanship, warranty or pricing... But over a reward for a referral is ridiculous because a customer feels it was not done in a timely fashion when in fact it was according to completion of refferals job , and really takes the wind out of a companies sales who offer these type of rewards. We apologize to Mr. ______ for any inconvenience that not receiving his referral reward in what he considers to be a timely fashion...
