On March 21,2022, (invoice order # *****) I ordered the *********** Cell Phone for my elderly sister who is blind and physically disabled. We were looking for a phone that has voice controlled dialing. After searching the internet for several days, we were excited to find RAZ Mobility which according to their information, "offers unique and cutting edge mobile assistive technology solutions for people with disabilities." When placing the order, I asked the salesman if it would work in our area. He asked for our zip code and said he would check. After a few minutes he said, "Yes, no problem, it should work with all carriers." When the phone arrived, my sister's daughter took it to all local carriers, ********************** and ********* Each one of them told my niece that the phone was too out of date to work. I called the company complained to the sales person (same man with whom I placed the order) and told him that he was not truthful and forth coming with me, and that we would be returning the phone. I also stated that under the circumstances, we should not have to pay the $75 "restocking fee " so that they could just put it back on the shelf and turn around and sell it to someone else. He said it was company policy to deduct a restocking fee. I ask to speak with the company manager. He told me that he would have Mermin the manager to call me. I have as of yet to receive a call from Mermin. I strongly caution any prospective customer to NOT buy from this company. The purchase price was $309.00 plus $14.99 shipping. We are asking the company to refund the cost of the phone plus shipping and to forgo the restocking fee.
