My 96 year old grandma could not see the buttons on her flip phone anymore and was struggling to make phone calls. Our family found this phone and purchased for her. Grandma is fully with it and only has sight and mobility issues. She was able to find the large picture buttons easy enough to use. She was able to make a phone call to her daughter the first night with the phone. We are very pleased with the easy set up and easy use of the phone for Grandma. We live in a major city so coverage is excellent. Setting the phone up with the App is easy and successful. It took about a week to get the phone but it arrived and the only delay in setting up the phone was on our end because we needed to add data to the cell phone line. I would highly recommend this phone for older/disabled people.RAZ Mobility Response

My dad is 93 and is now in a Veteran's facility. He could no longer manage his cell phone, so this seemed like a perfect solution. I will say that it is easy to use and the caregiver does have a lot of control over the phone and its use. It can be tricky trying to figure out which dial option (tap; tap/hold, etc) your loved one can manage and remember. If it is on the most simple action setting, it is easily dialed in error. He usually sees that it is ringing so presses the Hang Up prompt. Our problem, after only 3 months, is that he has somehow turned down the volume so the speakerphone no longer works; it can only be used by holding the butt of it next to your ear. I will update after I've spoken with the company tomorrow when I can go back to the home. Apparently, it isn't something that can be controlled remotely, by neither me nor the company.Review from Mike S

I bought a phone for my 86 yr. old mother with dementia, and it worked “OK” for about 6 months. Hint for new user’s power off (not restart) the phone once a week and it will work better. After 6 months the phone would not work in speaker mode. After hours of phone time with support we sent the phone back. The battery had swollen making the phone unusable, they sent a new replacement phone. This phone gave horrible feedback to the caller hearing themselves echo back. After the endless calls with support, they sent another phone, same issue. FYI, they use FedEx to ship phones and must use the cheapest method it takes a week or so for the phone to get there. They will not send a new phone until they get the old one, so your dementia patient goes weeks without a phone. The company doesn’t care about the effect this has on your loved one. When I sent back the 3rd phone, I was told it would be replaced with a different manufacture phone and expected a quick turnaround. So now after a couple of months of not having a working phone or no phone at all, I am being told “We are looking into it”, and we will call you when we know something. Who knows when or if I will ever get a working phone from them? I have begun looking for alternatives. Be sure if you are going to buy this product you do so with your eyes wide open, it is not the panacea they make it out to be and the support after the sell is not very stellar. BTW expect to pay them a monthly fee so the "Emergency number" doesn't call 911. Somehow, they can make it call them for a fee but can't make it call you for free.Review from gris t.

if I could give zero stars I would. This is a RIP OFF of a company. Recieved the phone one morning, called them same day in the afternoon about wanting to return because the phone was not a good fit for my blind brother. returned next morning. I paid return shipping. Mind you that at no time neither when placing the order nor when calling them regarding return, was i told of this "restocking fee" of $75. when checking my account, the refund was there, but they kept $90 instead of $75. Be careful when purchasing from them. Do your research before clicking the buy button. Get your loved one a phone from any other phone company. we found one suitable for the blind at Tmobile & for way less than this mediocre company. To this company... explain the details to your customers when calling to place order. I called to get info first. sounded like a good deal. (but NEVER told about return policy) then ordered online. lesson learned.RAZ Mobility Response

Dear sir/madam, RAZ Mobility provides equipment to people with disabilities to help them, and we are genuinely sorry that this customer feels that a restocking fee shouldn't be applicable. RAZ Mobility’s Return Policy, which is posted on its website, is clear: customers have 20 days to return their purchase, but a $75 restocking fee applies. A restocking fee is necessary, even if the phone is not used, because RAZ Mobility customizes each phone for each user. If the purchaser returns a phone in perfect condition, work must still be done to reverse that customization in order to put it back in our inventory. The restocking fee compensates RAZ Mobility for this additional effort and cost. RAZ Mobility is a small business that must recover its costs in order to stay in business and continue to offer innovative solutions to people with disabilities. A restocking fee also encourages prospective customers to make an extra effort to consider whether the phone is a good fit for their loved one. Absent such a fee, return rates would increase, as would the price of the phone. So the restocking fee has the additional benefit of keeping prices lower for everyone. Perhaps most importantly, as suggested above, the restocking fee is clearly disclosed in the company return policy. RAZ Mobility does not reimburse the shipping charge of $14.99. We are sorry that this customer feels that she was treated unfairly, but we do believe that the restocking fee is fair since it is clearly disclosed and serves a valid business purpose.Review from Lu P

My mom went into a nursing home right in the beginning of Covid. I never got to see her or hug her in person until this month over a year later due to the restrictions. I wanted this phone to stay in contact. She can’t have this phone. I called and tried to cancel and tried to intercept it. I had to pay return shipping and I never even opened it and should have refused delivery. I never even cut the box original seal or tape off the box. I immediately mailed it back. It took multiple calls and emails to get a partial refund. I had the manager call me and he happens to be part owner. I pleaded my sad case and he is keeping a restocking fee of $100.00 and I never even opened the box! I begged and he brought me to tears. He would rather line his pockets than do the right thing. Technology is so fast paced and they are gouging people $350 for phones and then I ordered accessories. He is heartless and out for him and his best interest. He is profiting off elderly and their caregivers. This year has been the worst for many. We had death in our family and it’s amazing the owner has no heart. Taking advantage. Shame on him.WOW Buyer beware.RAZ Mobility Response
