The Bethesda Downsizing team did an outstanding job of: preparing the house for the estate sale; pricing the items (which ranged very widely, including valuable art and antiques, mid-Century modern furniture, ceramics, silverware, records, books, electronic equipment, sporting goods and practical appliances); promoting the sale online; and smoothly managing the well-attended three-day event. Joanna and the entire team at Bethesda Downsizing and Estate Sales did an amazing job! Several weeks ago, we were searching for an organization to conduct an estate sale for the family matriarch and her 100 years of accumulations. We read the overwhelmingly positive, glowing comments about Bethesda Downsizing and chose them for our project. What a great decision! The large talented team arrived on a Monday and worked thoroughly, steadily, and sensitively for four days before the sale identifying, organizing, and staging hundreds of pieces of art, furniture, clothing, and kitchen/dining items. The sale was a fabulous success and after the sale, the team worked with us to ensure that the remaining items found a good home. The entire process was enjoyable and fulfilling and we enthusiastically recommend Bethesda Downsizing to anyone who needs to move on from a family's home or downsize into a smaller home.Review from William M

Bethesda Downsizing handled our downsizing job in a very professional manner, from our early meeting with them to the sale preparations (presentation, pricing, etc.) and the sale itself, as well as the post-sale matters, such as cleanup, making sure all sold items were removed, and the settlement. Very, very professional. Barbara and her team thought of all the details and logistics and made a dreaded process very, very easy for us. The entire team gives you lots of communication and transparency and keeps you appraised of everything. I turned over the entire process over to Barbara and she took control and did all the work. Extremely knowledgeable, extremely excellent in what they do, extremely easy to work with, and extremely understanding of the oftentimes difficult choices made when downsizing. Additionally, it was fun hearing the team having what sounded like so much fun doing what they were doing. My wife and I could not recommend BDES more strongly. At a time when customer "white glove service" is a thing of the past with even the most high-end vendors, services, etc., along comes Bethesda Downsizing and Estates Sales! Joanna and her team are top-drawer talent. They are acutely attuned to the market value of the items that they are selling for you. This means that you get a nice return on the sale of your treasures. Joanna's aligned vendors (art appraiser, moving staff, etc.) are reliable and care about their job performance. Bethesda Downsizing and Barbara and her team did an EXCELLENT job! We had an unusual assortment of "treasures" from East Asia -- collected over the last 5 decades -- and Bethesda Downsizing and Barbara did an excellent job of preparing the on-line sale, identifying and pricing objects, and matching our things with buyers. The on-line approach was perfect with us and avoided the masses of people that come with an in-house sale. We sold almost everything and were very pleased with all of our interactions. The "pick-up" at our house ran smoothly and led to many additional sales. Highly recommended!!
