I had no choice but to use this place because my insurance company sent me there. I drove my car up on a curb and it started making noises coming from my front right tire. First, when I dropped the car off, I had to sign a power of attorney for my car, which is insane in and of itself. Also, I had to sign some piece of paper about payment methods for repairs costing over $1000. I pointed out that my deductible is $500, they said it's "policy". Then, they wouldn't look at the care unless I was in the store - even after I explained that there is no exterior damage and therefore nothing to see until they take it into the garage and look under the hood. So I went to the place while the lady walked around the car with me and we agreed that there is nothing to see - so basically a complete waste of time. Then they finally took it into the shop and said I need an alignment, and it's already being worked on. Great, I said. But wait, there is more, they also found a broken steering column and it's $3700 and it's not related to me hitting the curb, it's just "wear and tear" (Newsflash, this part of the car doesn't wear and tear - but it can get damaged). 3D Auto didn't care. I wanted a second opinion and they happily released the car back to me but only after I paid for a completely unnecessary alignment. If my car has a broken steering column - I should not drive it - but they didn't care; if I die on the side of the road because my steering gives out it's apparently just fine by them I guess. Anyway, took it for a second opinion, and lo and behold, my right-front inner tire rod is bent and it's causing the intermediate steering shaft to clunk. Estimate about a grand. Hard to argue that I bent a right-front tire by "wear and tear" and the me hitting the curb was what, exactly? This was my entire claim. The shop failed to diagnose it property and then wanted obscene amounts of money to fix the issue - without actually fixing the correct part. I now have a dispute with my insurer who I hope reopens the claim, but the bigger point here is that they will charge you for unnecessary repairs to close out an insurance claim for you and wash their hands, they will make you sign away all your rights before they so much as look at your car, and in my case, the mechanic was either a fraud or downright incompetent. They also don't apparently care if you live or die. Horrible experience in every way and I wouldn't recommend this place to an enemy.
