On July 4 my 2018 Ford Escape had problems with over heating. After taking the vehicle to a local repair shop on July 6, they advised to tow it to the dealership. The dealership discovered a problem with the short block. They finally returned the car to me on Sept. 30. On Oct 22, the vehicle developed an overheating problem and needed to be towed to my residence. On October 24, I tried to get Ford Roadside Assistance to tow the vehicle. They refused because they "Could not ascertain if the vehicle was still under warranty." I called the Laramie Dealership and talked to the service manager (Troy). He acknowledged the vehicle was still under warranty and he would work on getting the vehicle towed at no cost to me. Eight days later and four more calls to Troy, I am still waiting for the car to be towed at no cost to me. (If it would be helpful I can provide a detailed phone log of all conversations I have had with the dealership concerning both the original and current problems with the car.

The onLine appointment was a disaster. I had to do it twice after the first appointment never went through. The service center told me I had low compression in cylinder #4. I was told they did a cylinder compression test (dry not wet). After they convinced me to follow the issues of low compression, they removed the valve cover and inspected the springs. I didn’t feel right about the diagnosis and had them stop exploring issues. I took the ford truck to the ********* dealer across the street and they diagnosed coil issue in cylinder #3. I had ********* dealer repair according to their diagnosis and problem was a bad PCM. They replaced it and problem was solved. I spent $900 compared to the possible $3000-$5000 I would have with the ford misdiagnosis. Either the ford dealership deliberately misled me on the problem or they were grossly incompetent in their diagnosis. Either way, it is fraudulent on their part. I recommend that you do not go to this service center at all to service your ford truck based on my experience.
