This is a portion of the letter that I sent to the District Manager of Buffalo Bill Village on July 28, 2023. I have heard no response. I wanted to express my displeasure with my stay and consequent treatment after my stay by your Cody, WY staff, specifically, Guest Services Manager, Ruby Rogers. I spent the night of June 29, 2023 in a smelly cabin. I paid $137.36 for the night, using Hotels.com. I was totally surprised when a charge of $23.35 was added to my credit card by Buffalo Bill Village Cabins on July 8. I immediately called the Village and talked to someone at the front desk and was told that the charge was for a missing buffalo that I took from the room. I had no idea what this buffalo was and told the attendant that I had not taken a buffalo. I was told to call back on Monday to talk to "Miss Ruby". I made the call and was told by Ruby that she would look into it and get back to me. She did not. I made 3 more phone attempts to reach her before I got her on July 25. She was very rude to me. Told me again that the buffalo was missing from the room and implied that I had stolen it. She told me to call back 2 hours later as she was checking with her District Manager as to what to do about the matter. I called back 2 hours later and her tone of voice implied that she was annoyed with me, but she would give me a credit. She sent an email to that effect. I told Ruby that I did not appreciate being treated so rudely and asked for the contact name information for her district manager. She hung up on me. Needless to say, I have been humiliated by Buffalo Bill Village. As I said before, there was no buffalo, and I did not steal it. Please refund the total amount of my stay, $137.36. I believe that is a fair request for me to put this accusation of stealing behind me and for me to move on.
