    Today I received a call from my mortgage company. I am told that the check for my insurance on my house was returned to the mortgage company and that my insurance has been cancelled and that it will not be reinstated due to lack of payment! The mortgage company pays it. He goes on to tell me they paid it as soon as they get noticed. It was three days late. He tells me to call and give the insurance company hell! I don't think this is a problem I need to solve as they are the company that did not pay on time. I pay my mortgage every month with automatic withdraw. This is the second time insurance rates have gone up, therefore my mortgage payment has gone up. Still I pay on time!The insurance company tells me they will rewrite the policy but the rates will be higher because of the age of my home. He said he was having a hard time finding a company that will insure the home at a rate close to what it was. I have never even filed a claim! I am now left without insurance because I cannot find a company that will insure my home at a reasonable rate.This is very upsetting to say the least! What a lousy way to treat consumers!
