      This storage unit company will only accept payments online, I have setup auto pay multiple times and it never works. I get a text every month that the payment is late. Its difficult to get ahold of anyone at the company when I do they are rude. The biggest issue is the text messages I have recieved being 2 weeks late that they have scheduled my unit for auction and now that it has been actioned when it has not. The owner himself told me they use this threatening tactic to get people to pay. The unit is currenty late again and they wont return my call. I owe them $220 for 2 months rent currently and the locked me out of my unit. The acvount online says I owe over $500 with late fees and that again they are going to auction my units contents. They also added next monts rent on top of it all to remove their lock thats over $600 now. I desperatly want to move out of the unit and the threat of have my unit sold off is very very stressful. Please help!

      This tenant has been consistently late since Mid-West Mini Storage took over management in January as you can see from the ledger. As it stands the tenant is currently 53 Days late. The tenant has never once put in a request to move-out which under their current rental agreement is a 30 Day Notice.  If the tenant would like to discuss the matter then they need to call us which there has been no attempt on their part.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      We have called, a message was left last week and no responce. I have told them over and over again I have attempted to turn on auto payment and it has never worked. Rather than attempting to work with me on it the responce from them has been theres no issue, your not doing it right. I offered to setup payment over the phone and thats just something they do not offer. I have had the unit 2 years and was never ever late on any payments. Interesting it has only been happening since they took over in January. The threatining text messages is just over the top and extremely immature and unprofessional.

      We have included the email we sent on 3/13/23 explaining how to set up the account and how to set up auto-pay. We have also included two screenshots from our operating system showing there was no attempt to call or any voicemails left.
