Thomas V. Demergian, owner of Insight Wealth Management, agreed to the permanent surrender of his Wisconsin insurance license. This action was taken based on allegations of engaging in professional misconduct related to the sales of securities and insurance products.
Demergian violated Wisconsin securities laws by engaging in dishonest or unethical practices in the securities business, persuaded clients to transfer investment funds into a bank account Demergian personally controlled and used for his own benefit, while creating false documents intended to mislead investors into believing they had legitimate investments. Demergian has admitted to Division staff he misappropriated at least $1.5 million from 14 investors over 20 years.
