Wish I looked here first. STAY CLEAR OF SERVICE as I received the ole bait and switch. I have a 2016 GTX 155 Sea Doo that had terrible vibrations when accelerating. It was sluggish to reach speeds of 42MPH (it should max out at 57). I have had a head gasket replaced the previous season from Action Power Sports and have not been out on the sea-doo since. I thought they might have messed something up, so I called Cody in the service dept to explain. He told me they could have it diagnosed in 3 to 5 business days at an additional $167 to diagnose. Mind you that I just spent nearly $700 for a head gasket replacement. Cody was never available to take my call after I dropped off the Sea Doo. I finally got a hold of him 2 weeks later in which he stated he couldn’t see anything wrong and that a lake test was needed. Not knowing there was an extra amount associated with a “lake test”, I asked how long. He explained he would have to take it out on a Monday when the shop was closed. It was a beautiful Monday and I didn’t get any phone call to update me. I contacted the service manager Mike three days later. He explained they don’t work on Mondays and blamed poor weather for not getting to the lake. I explained that I just wanted to be a priority and that I brought my Sea-Doo to this store for service, which is 40 minutes out of my way. I figured it was a much larger establishment and therefore, I guessed...they would be more experienced. But I haven't been treated with any respect. Mike became super defensive when I explained what Cody told me. After getting him to calm down (Which a customer should never have to do) he assured me that he would take it out as soon as the rain cleared. Less than an hour passed and he called me back stating he confirmed everything I told him, but still didn’t know what was wrong. This was odd seeing that it was still raining hard and the lake was not that close. He explained he would let me know more once he took out the impeller to inspect. When Mike called me back, he told me a fin was bent and he bent it back. I was dumbfounded when I seen the bill for over $500. I didn’t even know they were charging me to take my WaveRunner out to diagnose. Mike stated that he told me it would be $477 for parts and labor. Didn’t realise it was only the charge for taking the Sea-Doo on the lake. Had I known that, I would have skipped it and had service elsewhere. Mike became extremely defensive again when I explained my whole experience with him. He said that he didn’t charge me for the 2nd additional lake test (After he bent the fin back), or the sharpening of the blades (Which was never mentioned until I came back to the store), or the rebuild of the Pump (Which he didn’t do). He stated I would need a rebuild of the pump at a cost of $1100. Why would I need a rebuild if he already did it? After questioning this, he said he needed to open the pump to inspect and grease the bearings. Then he stated If I didn’t like it, I should go somewhere else for service. Really? This is how you treat your customers? You would think if they did extra work for no cost, they would write it up and put a $0 amount on the receipt. After calling 2 other shops and explaining it over the phone, both shops told me I probably had a rock stuck in the impeller. How did you not know this based on the information I gave you and the two other shops? Action Power Sports, How could they have any Idea what was wrong, but you didn’t? That you needed to hose me for an unneeded lake test? Either Action Power Sports is completely Incompetent, or they knew exactly what to do to hose people down of cash. Either is unacceptable. $1,200 of work from them so far, and it still needs $1,100 more?

To whom it may concern, Customer came in November 2020 for leaking valve cover gasket repair. We replaced that and spark plugs at that time. So customer then reaches out to us in April stating that the machine only does 42 mph instead of the top speed of 57mph. This issue has no relation to the issue that was attended to last November. Instead this issue was due to damaged impeller due to sucking material through jet pump. We had to lake test it multiple times as stated on the Repair order estimate that customer signed off on prior to him having us work on it. Not only is it on the repair order that he signed but also was told by both service writer and manager that would be the case. Upon first inspection there was no material in jet pump as would be first thing any mechanic would look at, the damage to the impeller was on the backside and not visible without disassembly. After first lake test technician took apart the jet pump and straightened the impeller and reassembled at that time we noticed bearing in jet pump also needed replacing. However while customer came in too the dealership he declined for us to fix it the right way and said he would take the machine right then. He was only charged for 1 of 2 lake test, we took care of some of the other costs that were associated to this vehicle on our own to try and take care of the customer prior to him even taking back the unit or having issues with our department. We understand it's frustrating to have something happen to your machine that you look forward to riding on however these machines the way they are designed people need to be extremely careful to prevent sucking debris through the pump because of the damages and costs that it will incur. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. Luke Erickson [email protected] 262-547-3088
