    Early in June 2023 we got in contact with Nancy at *****'s Goldens/Nalyn's Pet Grooming Service. We sent her a $500 deposit towards a golden retriever puppy. She told us she had one litter that was just recently born and another to be born in a week or so and that we could get a puppy from one of those litters. AFTER we sent her the deposit she sent us a "deposit receipt" with a puppy questionnaire, which included wording about no guarantee about which litter our deposit was good for. I think it was very deceptive of her to not state this information until after she got our deposit. I believe she takes more deposits from customers than she can provide puppies. I've read several on-line reviews stating very similar circumstances to what we are experiencing. During the time frame of June 17th to June 22nd we spent days trying to set an appointment with her to come and see her dogs. Most importantly we told her we wanted to see the father of the 2 litters. She did explain to us that the puppies were too young to handle and we were fine with that. She continually gave us the run around regarding visiting her. She would make excuse after excuse and tell us to call back or text back. Throughout our communications we felt she was rude, unprofessional, untimely and dishonest. She did tell me via text on June 22nd that "puppies ready in July." However, then on June 23rd she sent me a very nasty text stating that our puppy reservation had been canceled - which was not true. I did ask for our deposit money back due to all the troubles we had with her, but if she wasn't going to give us that back then I was expecting a puppy in July as she stated. Her last text said our deposit is good for a "future litter." Now she will not respond to my communications at all and it has been 5 days since I've heard from her. I would like her to refund our $500 deposit. The whole experience with her has been awful. Thank you for your help in resolving this issue.

    This is long overdue..but is important. Since getting my perfect sweet golden, people ask me all the time where I got her. And I NEVER tell them. Because I honestly do not wish Nancy on my worst enemy. I have NO idea how she is still in business. There are too many incidents to count, but if I were to sum it up I would say she is horribly rude, unprofessional, unresponsive and untimely. She sometimes takes weeks to respond to multiple attempts to contact her. She will then somehow turn it around on you - she is very manipulative in the things she says. I had been waiting for the day I got my AKC paperwork so I could for once and for all be done with her, and she essentially told me I did not meet all my requirements and therefore she was not going to give the paperwork to me. (Although I did everything she asked) I have never had a worse business encounter with anybody, and the worst part is that it is not a one and done deal. You have to sign a pretty extensive contract when getting a puppy of hers that essentially forces you to keep a relationship with her. I have never used her grooming services, and I do not ever plan to. I would not trade my dog for anything, but if I would have known all of the trouble she would cause me starting with the first day I ever contacted her to now, I would have ran far, far away.
