I brought my **** *** to Richfield Service on July 14, 2022 for service to fix a coolant leak. After repairs, Richfield Service released my car to me, on July 20, 2022, I drove 5 minutes directly to my home in Richfield, WI.Entering my driveway, the steering wheel suddenly froze and the generator light came on. That same day, July 20, 2022, I immediately called them about the problem. On July 21, my son, a ******** Benz mechanic visiting from AZ, looked at the car and he observed all the belts controlling the generator, power steering and water pump were frayed, broken and twisted around another device. My son inspected the work that had been done and found their mechanic had not secured the replacement part they had installed. It was so loose, he could push in, out and sideways. It should have been tightly secured to the engine. We went to Richfield Service (using my wife's car) and I complained sharply about the shoddy workmanship. They consequently sent a truck to pick it up to supposedly fix the mistakes the assistant manager admitted to. Their truck returned it on July 28, 2022, and off-loaded it on my driveway without saying a word and drove away.Before attempting to start it, I opened the hood to inspect it. Shockingly, nothing had been fixed. They didn't correct their mistakes.I immediately called them. The assistant manager said they won't make the corrections. He said they won't work on cars as old as mine although they initially accepted it. No mention of this when I first brought it in.They charged me $601.42 for the work, and I paid for it. Solution: I want a cash refund and for them to pay the cost to have another qualified mechanic correct their mistakes, including towing charges to that facility. An enforceable condition should be included that they pay for repairs within 30 days from the receipt of the new charges via registered mail. Are such conditions available without bringing suit?
