    ***** overcharged me for towing my car on December 30th, 2023. He charged me $735.00 to release my car to me, but I wanted my car towed elsewhere the same day he towed my car to his shop, and he refused to give me my car, so he should have not charged me that much.

    This interaction was initiated by Roadside at 3:09 pm on 1/14/24. We were called back by Roadside at 4:21 pm to inform us that Loren’s Auto would give us a call when in route to the unit needing repair. Loren called our driver at 7:37 pm to advise that he was onsite. The driver arrived to the unit minutes later and encountered a disgruntled service provider. The truck had been sitting in -25 degree temps for a day without a block heater. At that point, Sunday at 8:05 pm we were promised to have the truck towed to Loren’s Auto to be placed inside the building to allow it to thaw out. Monday 1/15/24 07:35 am we reached out to Loren’s Auto unsuccessfully. 9:45 we reached out and spoke with Karen in the office that advised us to call Loren directly. We were told that a $170 part was needed. I call ****** *** to confirm the price of the part and made arrangements to have the part transported to the location. Loren calls the driver to inform him that he has the part and is with the unit attempting to get it started. This is day two that the unit is stuck on the road and the tow to place the unit inside to thaw out didn’t take place. Loren again told us that he would tow the unit Monday evening to the shop to thaw. Tuesday morning 1/16/20204 we followed up with Loren at 7:30 am to get intel on the unit. It still hadn’t been towed out of the frigid temperature and we were placed on hold to service other callers. At 1:30 pm we reached out to Loren to follow up and was told that he was having lunch with his wife and he’ll get too the unit when he gets to it. At that point, I chose to move in a different direction with another company. Loren showed up to tow the unit form the location with the intent to hold it for ransom. We received a bill for $1,305 that included $175 in parts and a tow that was unauthorized at that point. We were gouged with rates and were treated poorly. I have to involve police to retrieve my unit.
