In July of 2022, I hired Mr. ********************** for a job to paint my kitchen cabinets and walls. He said he needed half down for supplies, etc. (which I didnt realize was a ridiculously high amount) and he wanted a check made out to his wife (girlfriend, ************************* who he said takes care of the finances. There were red flags all over the place but he seemed so nice and I even joked about him not ripping me off. I paid him ******). He came out once to tape and ready the kitchen which did take a a bit of his time, but he was just stringing me along. After that, he kept not showing up and making excuses. I finally figured out he wasnt going to show up and contacted the **************************** who took my information. Luckily, I had taken a picture of his drivers license and his wifes (?) drivers license so i had that information plus pictures. There may be a warrant out for his arrest. I just googled and found out that our local CBS station ran a segment showing that he has been doing this to many people in several counties. This is a warning to all people to never give a lot of money to a contractor before he finishes the job to your satisfaction. If it seems too good, then it probably is.
