I entered into an agreement with *************************, d/b/a ******* Home Improvement, LLC, to replace the roof where my 97-year-old mother resides. ************** did not install the roof in accordance with basic roofing standards and damaged the siding on the house while replacing the roof. ************** and his workers lack basic roofing skills because the workmanship is poor. I hired a home inspection company to inspect the roof after ************** refused to install the roof properly, replace the damaged siding and replace the gutters and down spouts as agreed. The inspection report documents many problems with the roof. I am currently in the processing of obtaining a report from another roofing company on whether the roof should be replaced and the cost to replace it. I also looking for an estimate to correct the many problems with the roof that **************, d/b/a ******* Home Improvement, LLC, created, including replacing the damaged siding, and installing new gutters and downspouts. ************** installed shingles that are too large for the roof. He did not provide me with an opportunity to select the shingles to be installed on the roof. It has been a nightmare to deal with **************. ************** lack basic business skills because after my brother-in-law and I shared with him our concerns about the poor workmanship with the roof and poor installation, and inferior materials used to replace the roof, ************** called me a f****** b**** I asked ************** to return my down payment of $4600 but he refuses to do so. Therefore, I am filing this complaint with the Better Business Bureau because **************, d/b/a ******* Home Improvement, should not be allowed to operate a business. He and his workers are incompetent roofers. Thus, ************** takes money from customers knowing that he cannot replace a roof in accordance with roofing standards.
