Im asking for help with what I see as unfair, excessive, and abusive toll penalty practices.I received a violation because I forgot to update my Peach Pass account with a new vehicles platean innocent mistake I didnt realize until billed. I offered to pay the actual unpaid toll plus any reasonable fee.Instead, I was told I owe over $615, with nearly $500 in fees. Professional Account Management (PAM) which services the account, refused to waive even $1 or negotiate, and denied escalation to a supervisor.Georgia law (OCGA 32-10-64) may authorize administrative fees, but these charges seem excessive and punitive, far beyond covering any administrative cost. This appears to violate the spirit of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (15 U.S.C. 1692f), which bars unfair and unconscionable collection ************ asking for this balance to be settled fairly at the actual toll plus a reasonable fee, and for action to ensure these practices are reformed so they dont continue harming Georgia taxpayers who make honest mistakes. I want to make this right but at the same time, no one has $500 laying around to pay in fees on a balance that was a little over $100. Please help me, I am begging you to help me resolve this.Business Response

I reached out to professional account management April 3rd to start a claim to get my over payment of $1789.50. The claim was started on April 14th. I called multiple times to see what is going on there was no updates until May 30th. As of May 30th a correspondence was updated into my account. The representative said I will be receiving my refund back by July 10th. It is now July 14th, I havent received my refund for overpayment back. I reached out to professional account management 8:30am on July 14th. The representative said they cant issue our refund check and I need to call Bay Area toll authority. *********************** has no information from professional account management. I have been trying to get a hold of professional account management for 2 hours on July 14th. The prompt takes me all the way to waiting for a representative and then hangs up on me. This has been happening all morning. This company makes it impossible to speak to someone and they wont allow you to speech to a supervisor or anyone above them. They will not issue my refund on my over payment.Business Response

Today, 7/8/25 my wife, ********* G. ******, received a "Notice of Assignment to a ****************** for an "Unpaid Toll Violation" in the mail at our address in ******************* to be collecting for the "****************** and ******************* We have an EZ Pass, but we have gotten no notice of any violation. No specific vehicle is mentioned, just "a vehicle registered to you." PAM has a blurry "BBB" with symbol in the upper right part of the page next to "ACA" (unclear what that is, too blurry to read)PAM Account Number: ********* PAM Notice Number:10554101036256 Toll Violation Number: ******* Amount due: $51.90 I just want this scam stuff to stop. This one was very close to fooling me. Also, PAM in Horseheads, NY purports to be a BBB member, but isn't according to your website. Professional Account Management has been attempting to collect for a supposed toll fee for a while. I have contacted the ******************** who manages the road in question and they have confirmed that they have no records of my vehicle being on the toll road as suggested by PAM. I tried to explain to PAM what the state agency said, but they refuse to concede.Business Response

I took the peach express lanes in ** since I have a SunPass for many years. There was a problem with my pass being processed by peach. They charged $20 admin fee for each time even though I have *******. I tried contacting peach pass and never got a response. Within thirty days it was turned over to Pam. I sent proof I had valid ******* for many years and said I would pay the toll but not admin fees since I had a valid *******. They sent back that I owed only $28 but when I went to pay they are showing the $83. I should actually only owe$23.Business Response

In February 2025 my income taxes were wrongfully intercepted by this agency. When I contacted them to dispute the intercept I was told 3 license plate #s were attached to someone with the same name as me that lived in a different city and to send a written request to dispute the charges and obtain a refund. I did that twice, called them numerous times, and requested a call back from a supervisor but, instead of a response or call back, I am now being sent bills to my address (which was provided to them in the written dispute letter) for the license plates in question (which do not belong to me). I have sent several written requests for a refund and proof that the license #s in question dont belong to me yet theres been no resolution/refund.Business Response

I have never received any correspondence from **** regarding this debt, I never received anything from you (PAM) until I contacted you several times regarding the intercept letter I received from the ******************** you (PAM) never sent communications regarding this debt until after I provided you with my address when calling/writing about wrongful interception, the address you (PAM) had on file originally was a Vallejo address (where Ive never resided), and you (PAM) have been escalating my matter as well as supposedly having a supervisor contact me since February when I first contacted you yet that still hasnt happened. I went to *** in order to obtain information on the license plates in question and/or a history of vehicles I have owned. *** does not keep history of vehicles owned and due to the license plates in question not belonging to me (which they proved) they could not provide me with any information on them. I was only provided with information on the 1 vehicle I actually own and sent that to you back in April. I spoke to the representative that recommended the *** website on July 2, 2025 and not June 4, 2025. I went to the *** website and because those vehicles do not belong to me I cannot submit a request online. A request for someone elses registration history must be made in writing for a fee (I spoke with *** headquarters representative to confirm that information). I have contacted the ******************* intercept department several times (before and after speaking with PAM representatives). The Franchise tax board stated that PAM/BATA provided them with the information used to prompt the intercept (not BATA obtaining information from them as you suggest) and they refer me right back to you (PAM) to dispute the wrongful intercept. I have contacted BATA by phone and was told that I had to contact them via writing, did that in May, and havent heard from them either. You (PAM) are the only entity that has sent me a debt, the one that wrongfully intercepted my taxes (before providing me with any type of documentation regarding this debt), and are the ones that should be having to prove this debt indeed belongs to me. Why am I the one having to prove it doesnt? The address you originally had doesnt match mine and the vehicles in question arent owned by me. Is the PAM escalation member that will be contacting me a representative or a supervisor and can you please provide me with a day/time they will be calling (as they havent done so yet despite promises)?

Theyre attempting to collect a debt that was never accepted or acknowledged. Theres no proof they ever contacted me before sending it to collections, and now that Ive asked for that proof, theyve admitted they dont have it. Your alleged scamming technique of vague response and lack of transparency will be exposed here today. Tell what was sent to ALL ******************************************** alledged It took proper notifying steps but I was never notified before it went to collection and youre refusing to furnish proof. Where is the proof means were taken before your company pivoted to collecting with a hefty fee.do not send me anything else if you do not give a verbal confirmation that it is proof of attempts to collect before sending to collections or risk facing legal actions starting with a dessert and desist. This is harassment.

I went to go renew my registration and it says that i have an unpaid toll and it went to this collections agency i have tried calling numerous times and no one answers i have reached out the *** to reach out to them about the unpaid toll. i have gone to my insurance agency and had them reach out with no response. I've been trying to get a refund from Professional Accounts Management, LLC. They intercepted my tax return even though I paid my Fastrak account in full well before tax season. I confirmed with ******* that they received my payment in full and contact Professional Accounts Management. I confirmed with Professional Accounts Management that my account was paid in full, but my money was still intercepted.
