Pretty much a disaster all around. I had previously taken a vehicle, 14 yr old nonetheless, in for repairs including a new hood/paint and the job was perfect when Nick C********* owned Meticulous Auto Body ~ 2014. ******Nick ********** either doesn't own Meticulous Auto Body or is in the process of a buyout. He is not running the show and yet still advertises as himself being the owner.******* Fast forward and I have a BRAND NEW vehicle that came shipped from the dealer with some damage to the hood/paint. Not only was the out of state dealer involved but also corporate as well to ensure that repairs were done to the vehicle. I took my brand new car to Meticulous Auto Body and was promised by Brent K******** (new owner) that he knew/understood the situation and would "make things right" A new hood was ordered and painted along with some other areas to be addressed/repainted. Meticulous Auto Body was the highest of all bids received for work to be done but Brent told me they would go the extra mile and assured me that my car would be returned in NEW CONDITION. I will now be returning for the 4th time which I am absolutely dreading...., Yes-you read right, the 4th time to have Meticulous repair the faulty work they did on my BRAND NEW VEHICLE. Upon picking up my vehicle after the 1st go around, I got home and noticed the next day that my vehicle was covered in debris...This after ~1/3 of the car had been repainted. The vehicle was picked up @ closing time in late Fall and was not noticeable at the shop/in the outdoor area. I was subsequently told..."oops, we missed that...." (See the photos and tell me how a professional auto body paint shop could miss the polish/buffing compound they left my car covered in) Flaws in the paint job along the front edge of the hood on both the left and right side (see photos) I meet with Brent and Nick @ Meticulous and they double team me to tell me that what I am seeing is normal and due to the way the hood is made. I then take the car to the VW dealer/body shop where the hood came from and speak to the body shop manager and he tells me NO, it is not due to the hood but to the quality of the paint job that was done on the vehicle and that they should re-do the entire job...which they didn't but were somehow able to make it all disappear. Plastic clad molding around 2 wheels was removed and replaced with brand new pieces that had to be taken off when the vehicle was repainted. Funny thing, next day when coming out to look at the vehicle the new cladding is scratched on both wheels and the originals hadn't any marks or scratches when brought in. Fine swirls clearly visible all throughout at least 1 of the doors that had been repainted and not leftover wax either..... Decided to take the vehicle to a top auto body paint shop to have them look over the vehicle/paint job that was done @ Meticulous. As soon as the gentleman looked at my vehicle he pointed out the flaws in the brand new paint job that had been done @ Meticulous. There were multiple dimples in the paint/clear coat on one of the rails running along/up the windshield that were pointed out and couldn't be missed under the lights of the auto body shop. Fine scratches all throughout the hood that could only be seen by a professional. A few months after getting my vehicle back I notice paint coming off the hood right on the lip/edge running along the windshield. Additionally, you can see through the paint job further on the lip/edge towards where the hood meets the fender. I take the vehicle in once again and Brent asks me if I took it to a car wash.....Why yes I did, but that shouldn't cause the paint to come off and it was also a touchless car wash as well. Brent then proceeds to lift up the windshield wiper and tell me that is what caused the paint to come off the lip/edge of the hood. Funny thing, where the wiper makes contact with the hood when manually lifted is not where the paint is coming off and there are absolutely no marks/scratches on the windshield wiper.....Oh and there are absolutely no other defects in the brand new hood....other than the paint job done by Meticulous. This was a brand new vehicle when brought in to Meticulous Auto Body. They have wasted hours of my time having to bring my vehicle back to address their sub-standard workmanship. Just head on over to Yelp to see photos of what my vehicle looked like after their work/upon receipt.
