We hired ***********************, the owner of Tree Life, to remove about 25 trees. He quoted us $10000 and said it would take 3-4 days, we were to pay half up front and half to be paid upon the jobs finish. He said all trees would be cut down, cut up into reasonable size pieces and stacked neatly, also he was going to trim some other trees and take the stumps down to the ground. After paying him he showed up for 4 hours two days in a row. After that he started requesting an advance on the remaining $$ so he could get a lift, we said no, then we had some storms so he told us he couldnt come out and work. Oddly enough during these storms we had two separate trees magically fall on their own ( in thirty years weve never had a whole tree come down in a storm). After the storms passed he still kept telling us he couldnt come out because he couldnt get a lift. This went on for weeks. His crew finally came and cut the remaining trees down except for one, they left half of the trees lay where they were cut as whole trees and the other half they left in a massive, messy pile of huge pieces that cannot be moved without machinery! He said he was finished with the job while I was in the hospital (my husband is 87 w/ Alzheimers and Im 81 and just had major back surgery) he pressured me to have my son do the final walk through because he was going on vacation and needed the $$. My son did it and didnt really know our agreement so he paid him. But when I saw the mess he left in my yard I called and he promised hed come back and finish the job, said his employee ****** did the poor job and wasnt supposed to leave it that way. This was July 20th, he said hed be back from vacation July 27th and take care of finishing the job. Its now August 16th and hes still making excuses and promises to be here tomorrow or next week or blah blah..another thing he started this project on June 16th and it was to take 3-4 days!!!
