    On 1/20/23, I signed a contract with AFC Exteriors to allow them to make a claim on my house for storm damage. It states that "If Public Adjuster refers Insured to a preferred contractor or other vendor or service provider, Public Adjuster shall present to Insured not fewer than two good faith, competitive bids for a contractor, vendor, or service provider."On 4/20/23, insurance informed me that the claim had been approved and I asked ********************* (who had taken over my project) for an estimate from AFC Exteriors. He informed me that in order to give me an estimate, they needed to see what insurance estimated. On 4/21/23, I sent the insurance estimate and was told to expect AFC's estimate that day. On 4/24/23, I informed ************ had not received the estimate. On 4/25/23, I informed ************ had still not received the estimate. He sent me an email stating "the additional price to install ************** would be an additional $400." but did not include an actual estimate. I asked him for an actual estimate, he offered a number that matched insurance's check but no actual broken down estimate. After I asked again, he provided an Xactimate estimate.On 4/27/23, I asked ***** to explain the significant difference between two estimates I had received on my own (as they had not provided any as the contracts requires). He then set up a time to go over my questions.On 5/12/23, ***** came to my house and tried to get me to sign a work order stating they'd include more work and waive the insurance deductible. I stated I was not comfortable signing and received an email request to sign a work order as well.On 5/25/23, I informed them I would not be using them due to a breach of contract as they did not supply me with two other bids. I received a response on 5/30/23 with an estimate from a company ****** said is out of business and when I called said they do not do residential work. At this time, I requested my insurance check back and they have since refused to return it.

    Good morning,

    We currently have a lawyer mediating for us in this case.

    As off yesterday, June 22nd the client in question and my lawyer have agreed on a settlement.
